Story
Ruben is a typical puppy: energetic, curious, and mouthy. He craves attention and affection. Ruben is moderately crate trained. As a puppy, he is better off with blankets in his crate.  He loves playing with toys but needs some attention in terms of just being with people and getting more socialized.  When he is calm after some play, he is very sweet. He has an intense stare and is likely a great candidate for scent work. He is super agile and loves to run fast. He can actually entertain himself with a variety of things in the yard.  He was found in an orchard field... and not much around to sustain him. So, he is in need of love and care to round out his early struggles. But, he is young, and is learning quickly basic commands.November 6, 2024, 2:40 pm

Story
Lucy's Bio Meet Lucy, a charming female Staffordshire Terrier with a cocoa-colored coat and striking yellow eyes. At approximately 2-3 years old and weighing between 70 to 75 pounds, Lucy is the embodiment of a well-mannered and loving companion, ready to bring joy and warmth to any home. Personality Traits Lucy is the epitome of a gentle and affectionate dog. Her well-trained nature makes her a wonderful indoor companion, as she is extremely well potty trained and loves lounging in a cozy spot. Lucy enjoys being close to her family, often joining them in bed for cuddles. Her gentle demeanor shines through when she accepts treats, taking them delicately from your hand without lunging. Lucy is known for her expressive "hungry eyes" when you eat, but her impeccable manners ensure she never becomes a nuisance. She adores having the middle of her chest rubbed and will gently nudge your arm with her paw when she seeks attention. Training and Abilities Lucy is not only loving but also highly intelligent and well-trained. She knows the seven basic commands: sit, stay, down, come, heel, off, and no. Additionally, she responds to hand signal commands for sit, stay, come, and down. Lucy understands phrases like "not for you," "kennel/inside," and "with me" while on a leash. Although she is generally well-behaved on a leash, she may occasionally pull when excited. Socialization and Play Lucy is a loving and playful companion towards humans and gets along with smaller dogs, though she may be a bit stand-offish with larger dogs. She has a fondness for her toys, especially when playing fetch with a ball. While she knows the "drop it" command, she can sometimes be a bit stubborn, requiring a gentle reminder to release her toys. Care and Protection Lucy is easygoing during bath time, handling it with calmness and grace. Her protective instincts make her an excellent guard dog, vigilant in defending her territory and ensuring the safety of her home and family. With her loving heart and well-mannered nature, Lucy is ready to become a cherished part of your family, bringing joy, protection, and companionship to your life.   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please go to our website   https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/     and fill out an application. Story
Honey is such a sweet, loving, and playful approximately one year old dog. She is a petite 39 lbs tan mixed breed possibly hound or pittie mix but has the silliest ears that take turns going up and down! Honey was found as a stray in Spring TX. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. Honey is crate trained and potty trained. She pulls a bit on leash and will need continued training but that is to be expected with a young dog. Her first foster mom loves her and says she is good with kids and other dogs, though is a bit too playful for her older canine foster siblings. Honey is now at a foster home with more younger dogs and is doing well learning better manners with other dogs and in the house. Honey now gets to play with the kids in the neighborhood and loves it! She is definitely a playful girl who loves to run and roughhouse with dogs of similar size and age or have a good chew on a sturdy dog bone. She will try to swallow small or cloth toys so those are not recommended for her. She is interested in cats and may give chase but may just need the right dog-savvy cat who set clear expectations and maybe even want to play with her. Honey is a clever and energetic girl and would do well with an active family dedicated to her continued training. This aptly named girl is ready to find her furever home!! 6/1/24 Update: We have not had any interest in poor Honey! Her forever home is out there somewhere, so we have ordered her a DNA test and hope to get her results soon. Hopefully knowing her breeds will help find her people! 10/14/24 Update: How is Honey still here?!?! She is a sweet, cuddly, quirky, active dog looking for the right home! We have lowered her adoption fee from $350 to $175 to try and help find her forever home faster. If you are looking for an active dog, adopt Honey!!
