Amelia Bedelia is a very sweet, gentle girl who is ready to find her forever home! Our vet believes she is about 1-2 years old. She was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas when her previous owners did not want to come for her and we do NOT understand why - she's absolutely AMAZING and has been a total love bug. Amelia has the best personality and is affectionate, playful, and full of charm! She adores people! One of her quirky charms is that she will army crawl across the floor to get closer to people! She gets along well with other dogs, and would do great living with other pups or living as an only pup too. She is a big fan of toys (the squeaky and crinkly kinds are her favorites!) and will happily entertain herself, especially if you are nearby giving her attention. Her energy level is medium, think: couch potato meets playtime! She enjoys cuddles, neighborhood walks, or backyard playtime. She may not be the best long hike companion, but little adventures are great! Amelia is crate trained and does wonderfully when left alone. She relaxes in her crate and her bed, stays quiet, and settles calmly. Her foster checks on her through the doggy camera, and she doesn't make a peep! Dexter will be arriving in WI from Texas mid-February, so more info will come once he does! Dexter is a young adult and was found roaming the streets with another pup, Gracie (who we are also bringing up to WI at the same time). Dexter seemed quite smitten with Gracie and is currently housed with her. They do not need to be adopted together. While Dexter gets along great with Gracie, we have not yet introduced him to any other pups at this time, but he has done well with the dogs he has seen at distances. When anyone goes up to Dexter to say hi, he's all wiggle butts!! He is a super sweet and loving boy looking to spend his life out of the outdoor elements and surrounded by love! He is great with people!

Emma is estimated to about 2-3 years old. She LOVES people, exploring, and cuddling. Emma is looking for her forever home after not being treated well by people in the past. Despite the trauma she’s been through, she is such a good dog. When she found herself on the euthanasia list in a Texas shelter, she wiggled her way onto transport to safety and joined Desert Willow Ranch and Rescue. Not one to waste a second chance, Emma is loving life! She is all heart and a big personality. She is full of passion and just wants to love and be loved. She eats, plays, and love with gusto! Emma absolutely loves toys and is a strong chewer. She is a smarty-pants too! She has aced all her basic skills and is expanding her knowledge while working with a trainer multiple times a week. After meeting so many unkind humans in her past, she is learning that humans can be kind. This passionate pup is looking for someone who will understand, respect, and continue to teach her. She has spent much of her early life advocating for herself, and now she is finally knowing what it means to be loved and advocated for. Emma needs to be an only dog. She loves long walks, her toys, and belly rubs. Luna has not shown any guarding behaviors with food or toys and would make a wonderful addition to any family.
