Ariel is a gentle and quiet companion who needs patience and a calm environment to feel secure and reveal her affectionate nature. She tends to move quietly and can be easily startled by loud noises or sudden movements. But once she builds trust, Ariel is very loving and may enjoy cuddling on the couch or sleeping in your bed.
Ariel is independent, yet loyal. She values her alone time and safe spaces (like a cozy closet or a cat tree perch) but forms a strong bond with her primary human. Ariel's true, playful, and loving personality is a reward for the patience and time invested in helping her build confidence.
Ariel's Ideal Home Environment
- A quiet, stable household with a predictable routine is ideal, as consistency helps her feel safe.
- A patient owner who understands she needs time and space to adjust and will let her come to them rather than forcing interaction.
- Ariel may thrive as an only pet or with another very calm, gentle animal, as she prefers one-on-one attention and might be stressed by a busy multi-pet household.
- Best suited for a home with adults or older children who can respect her boundaries and quiet nature.

When you choose to adopt one of OCARC's animals, the adoption donation is $200 (kittens 6 months and younger) or $175 (all kittens and cats over 6 months of age). Each of our cats and kittens has been:
- Microchipped
- Spayed or neutered
- Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia)
- Tested for FIV (Feline Aids)
- De-flead (topical Revolution or Advantage)
- De-wormed (tape and round worms)
- Given their first FVRCP vaccination:
We keep all our kitties current on their FVRCP vaccines so depending on the age of the kitty when you adopt him or her and how long we've had the kitty, the vaccine series may be complete. If not, you as the adopter will be responsible for any further vaccinations in the series.
- Rabies Vaccination when age appropriate
These services would usually cost more than $500. Of course, a greater adoption donation is always welcome, since we often provide additional medical care such as x-rays, blood panels, treatment for ears, eyes, upper respiratory infections and viruses.
