Story
Due to the present confrontational Middle East environment where this dog resides, airlines are minimally operating. He/She may therefore be delayed in arriving to Canada. He/She will eventually be sent, but we have no specified timeframe at this moment. If you are willing to wait, we and this dog appreciate your patience.  Hello everyone, I'm Angelina and here is a bit about me:Breed: Anatolian shepherdAge: 7 monthsGender: femaleWeight: 60 poundsHeight: 40 cmHighlights: playful, loves kids, young & learning Adding Jolie at the end would be appropriate, because I am super pretty. That wouldn’t make me very one of a kind though now, would it? Aren't I adorable, I resemble a Swiss Valais sheep. So this is my story. A wonderful lady found my brother and I taped up in a cardboard box outside of a pet clinic. She is thinking either our mom passed away or someone separated us from her. Nobody knows. Thankfully, she was walking her own dog, a beautiful Samoyed, when he started barking and leading her towards our box. She opened the box and found us packed in there. We were both very scared, but also very grateful to be found. She took us home and has been taking care of us ever since. We have been bottle-fed from the first day that we were found. It's been a couple of months that we have been able to eat solid food along with our milk. I am really looking forward to becoming a Canadian citizen soon and being the sweet little girl I am in a loving family.I am extremely playful, but I'm also a lady. I do like to play though, but I'm definitely the calmer sibling, though I do harass my bro over food a tad. Pretty much like human brothers and sisters. It would be great if we found a home together. Our fee would be reduced, if so.I get along very well with other dogs and with kids. I absolutely love children, because they like to play with me and I’m just a baby, so I love to play. I especially love playing with balls. I am currently staying in a boarding facility, so I am being socialized with other dogs as well as more people.I am really looking forward to a new family that will be able to keep me forever. I am hoping that you will be the one to make our dreams come true. Love, Angie. Energy: moderate to highI get along with:Other dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: yes Prey drive: unknown/non-observed, my adopter needs to be willing to train me should these behaviors arise.Fears: Vacuum (pretty typical.) Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training:Leash training: no. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: partially. I do my business on a pee pad. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health Notes:I am too young yet to be spayed/neutered, but I am vaccinated and microchipped. Spay/neuter will be the responsibility of the adopter and is required for my adoption to be finalized. My adoption fee is 800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes transportation to Canada, if accompanied by a fight volunteer directly to Vancouver.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##1910645##

My name is Brad, and here is some info about me:Breed: Anatolian Shepherd mixAge: 7 monthsGender: maleWeight: 62 poundsHeight: tbdHighlights: playful, food motivated, dog interactive I was found in the Middle East by a very sweet lady and her Samoyed dog outside of a vet clinic. I was taped up in a box along with my sister. Thankfully, her dog was able to sniff us out and lead her to us. We were both crying, and were extremely scared. Clearly someone had separated us from our mom. The lady was thankfully able to take us back home and nurse us back to health. We were slowly introduced to solid food after a few weeks and we love it! Especially me! My sister is more of a lady. I honestly think deep down she loves the food as much as I do, but doesn’t like to show it.I am extremely playful and love playing with my ball. I sometimes like to play with my big brother (the Samoyed) but he’s usually not in the mood to play with me and like I said, my sister can be a little stuck up. Even so, it would be great if we were adopted together. Our fee would be reduced, if so.I am scared of busy streets and cars. Can't blame me there, the cars zipping around are dangerous. With time and training that should improve though. I do know how to use a pee pad and have had a teeny bit of work on leash. I'm quite young, so will need full training yet.I love other dogs as you can see, I've had a lot of practice with my sister. https://youtube.com/shorts/v9KNuegdA5w?si=ReUELjDitm2dbXLp Love to have an opportunity to come to Canada! Barfi Breed: Anatolian ShepherdAge: 4 years Gender: male/neuteredHeight: 31x85x100 cmWeight: 31 kg Hello everyone! My name is Barfi, which means white like snow! Here is some info about me: I was found with a broken hip that needed surgery. No one knows how it happened, but it was most likely something related to my owner. I was kicked out of his house, and luckily my rescuer found me and took me to a veterinarian to get surgery on my broken hip. I have been in a boarding facility ever since then. I get along very well with people and other dogs. However, I don’t like if dogs mess with me too much. That’s when I start to defend myself! I haven’t been around cats, but I saw a few of them at the veterinarian’s office and I didn’t have much of a reaction. Hopefully you will decide to adopt me! I promise not to disappoint!  Energy level: moderate Prey drive: none observed, however, my adopter needs to be willing to train me should these behaviors arise  Gets along with: Other dogs: yes Cats: unknown Kids: yes Fears: I am not scared of anything, I just don’t like receiving too much attention and loud noises. FENDIBreed: Anatolian shepherd mixAge: 3 yrsSex: Male, neuteredWeight: 45 lbsEnergy level: moderateRelations: good with dogs, good with cats, loves people of all agesHighlights: smart, loving, great kisser, submissiveRegion: Middle East I have been in Canada since 2021. I need a home outside of Nanaimo, where I can have the freedom in natire I crave. A 1 time odd incident of a dog fight caused the city to state I must be on leash and muzzled. Although this designation is being fought, as it was unfairly derived, my mama wants me to be happy. They have lots of documentation from many people (pack hike leaders, dog trainers, and parents of the dogs he plays with etc...) that I interact well with other dogs. Please help me to live the life I deserve. If you are looking for a great family dog, look no further because here I am! The name is Fendi. I have been living at the shelter with my furry brothers and sisters since I was only a few hours old. My mom died right after she gave birth to me and two of my siblings. Some really bad humans found her when she was in labour and stoned her to death! I don’t even know if she was done giving birth to all of us or not when she crossed the rainbow bridge. The nightmare didn’t end there though, those mean humans decided that killing our mom was not enough and started cutting our tails right after we were born. Honestly, I don’t remember any of it, my eyes weren’t even open, but some nice people saw what was happening and came to our rescue. I was given to a dog rescue where a kind lady took us in, she took care of us the best she could.  I am a healthy 9 month old boy now and as much as I would like to stay with my mom, its time for me to fly the nest and find my forever family so that my mom can focus on other animals in need. I'm ready to move out!  Please note, I like to be the centre of attention. I love all the pets and I love to give all the kisses. I hope you like kissing, because I do ;) lick lick. I also require many belly rubs. It is essential for my health! I am a very gentle boy who does not have a mean bone in his body. I get along with all my furry brothers and sisters and I specially love the cats that I live with. I enjoy nice people’s company and I don’t care if they are big or small. I just want to love and be loved. I'm also very smart and I cannot wait for my new family to teach me some tricks and doggo games. It’s a dangerous world out there where I live for doggies and my mom has no choice but to keep us inside the rooms where we are safe and out of harms ways. I often dream of running free in a beautiful field. I know the day will come when I can go for walks and hikes with my forever family. Maybe I will take a ball along. Once, when my mom was watching television, I saw a doggie chasing a ball over and over again. It looked like so much fun! I got so excited that I ran towards the television, hoping to jump in and join the game!! All I got, was a bump on my forehead that resembled a ball!!! Yes, yes it was silly, but a funny story right!? It would be so cool if I can have a fenced yard to call my own, but I am good anywhere as long as my family loves me and gives me the daily exercise I need to stay handsome and healthy. You know what to do, press the adopt button below! I have been neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped.My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD + applicable taxes. 🐾 Meet Sybil! 🐾 Sybil is a sweet and gentle 7-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, currently tipping the scales at just 9 kilograms. Although she's petite now, she's expected to reach a maximum weight of around 20 kilograms as she grows. Sybil's early experiences have left her feeling a bit uncertain about the great outdoors, as she has spent much of her time at a clinic in Turkey. However, with patient guidance and positive reinforcement, we believe she will blossom into a confident explorer! This lovely girl is eager to find a forever home with adopters who understand her timid nature and are committed to helping her build confidence through gentle socialization. Despite her initial shyness, Sybil has shown a remarkable affinity for humans and is quick to shower her affection on anyone who offers her kindness. Not only is Sybil a friend to humans, but she also gets along famously with cats and other dogs, making her a delightful addition to any pet-loving household. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a precious pup who is waiting to bloom into her full potential, Sybil could be the perfect match for you. Sybil can fly to Toronto or Vancouver when she finds her forever home! If you are interested in adopting her please apply; https://www.cheers2paws.org/dog-adoption-form
