Story
This is Jeff - he is a pure bred Belgian Malinois around a year old.  He and another Belgian (Wendell) were abandonded at a hunting plantation.  Jeff is healthy  -we have no idea why anyone would dump either of these dogs -both are super sweet and gentle.  Jeff is a little timid until he gets to know you but is overall very obedient and eager to please.  We know Jeff will make an excellent pet for some lucky home -he is good with other dogs and loves everyone, including kids (he seems disinterested in cats).   Jeff is a great dog!  He is up to date with shots, neutered, negative for heartworms/on prevention crate trained.  He seems to know some basic commands and enjoys going for walks, he loves to give kisses.  If you would like to adopt Jeff, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.myhstc.org. Adoption fee is $85 and includes veterinary care We prescreen all applicants prior to a meeting.  You may be screened by completing an applicaton at www.myhstc.org We do allow out of state adoptions.  However, we do not transport nor ship sight unseen pets for many reasons.  We do require travel in person adoption. ##2305374##

Story
Wendell is a 2 year old pure bred Belgian Malinois around 2 years old.  He and another Belgan (Jeff) were abandoned at a hunting plantation.  We cannot imagine why either one of these dogs were abandoned, they are wonderful dogs with excellent temperaments!  Wendell needed surgery for one of his eyes (it was drooping) - he successfully completed this and is now ready for adoption!  He is completely healthy and ready to be adopted.  Wendell is a little timid until he gets to know you but once he does, he is very affectionate and will follow you everywhere.  He seems to know some basic commands.  He is good with others dogs and likes kids -he does not seem to care about cats either way.  Wendell is up to date with shots, negative for heartworms/on prevention, neutered and crate trained.  All he needs now is a forever home.  If you would like to apply to adopt sweet Wendell, please complete an adoption application at our website at www.myhstc.org Adoption fee is $85 and includes veterinary care We do allow out of state adoptions.  However, we do not ship nor transport sight unseen pets for many reasons.  We require travel in-person adoption. Story
This is Dolly, a pure bred Great Dane 2-3 years old.  Dolly was part of an extreme hoarding case - this "owner" had 25-30 dogs and cats living inside a 1200 square foot home.  We were contacted about a shy Dane that needed a place to go as the shelters in the area were all full.  We agreed to take her in.  When Dolly first arrived, she was nothing but skin and bones.  She also could not see - she had the worst case of "cherry eye" our vet had ever seen (you could not tell if she eve had eye balls) -she was also heartworm positive.  It has been a slow process bringing Dolly back to a healthy state.  She has undergone a couple of eye surgeries and treated for heartworms.  We are happy to report that she is now healthy and ready to be adopted!  Thankfully, her eyesight is now quite good and she is at normal weight - her treatment for heartworms went very well!  Dolly is a bit shy until she gets to know you (understandable after everything she went through).  She is sweet once she is acquainted with you.  She would do best in a quiet home - she is fine with other dogs that are calm like her, she seems to be fine with cats too.  Small children would likely be intimidating to her -teenagers would be fine.  She knows some basic commands and walks well on leash.  She is up to date with shots, spayed, treated for heartworms/on prevention and crate trained.  After everything she has been through, Dolly deserves a home that will love and spoil her!  If that is you, please complete an adoption application at our website at www.myhstc.org Adoption fee is $85 and includes all veterinary care We prescreen all applicants prior to a meeting.  To be screened, please complete an application at www.myhstc.org We do allow out of state adoptions.  However, we do not ship nor transport sight unseen pets for many reasons.  We require travel in person adoption.   ##2564941##
