Story
Pretzel is sunshine in dog form at an estimated 4-5 months of age. Based upon visual breed identification we believe Pretzel is an Anatolian Shepherd. Unfortunately, Pretzel was found starving, severely emaciated, as a stray and we do not know his history or background prior to arrival at the shelter.    Pretzel is the most kind-hearted, social, goober of a puppy that you will meet. He is pretty sure everybody loves him, they obviously want to cuddle or roughhouse or feed him treats, but they absolutely adore him and he will not be convinced otherwise. And honestly, who could blame him? When you are sunshine personified you're pretty darn loveable. Pretzel is doing well learning all the important puppy things like not eating shoes, staying clean both in his crate and in the house, and using his cuteness to exploit people for extra treats. He is a puppy though and will need ongoing guidance, socialization, and training to ensure he grows up to be a good canine citizen.    Pretzel lives with other dogs and is a big fan of chase games and bitey face. He is a puppy so he can be a bit annoying to the older dogs but he takes guidance and cues from them well. He is typically confident and polite meeting new dogs. Pretzel currently resides with two cats but we aren't sure if he has noticed that they aren't just weird looking dogs. He currently shows no interest in them and would likely continue to do well with feline roommates.    Pretzel still has some weight to gain despite doubling in his short time with us and he has lots of growing to do to match his big ole' paws. He is looking for a loving, active home that will give him the TLC and adventure his puppy heart needs. Story
Meet Tyg (Tygrys) PLEASE SHARE THIS POST FAR & WIDE. TYG DESERVES HIS HAPPILY EVER AFTER! Poor Tyg will have been at the kennel for 2 years this June. He's a favorite with regular kennel volunteers. Once he gets to know you he's a big 100 lbs loving teddy bear.  Most people don't come to a Golden Retriever rescue looking for an Anatolian Shepherd mix, which is why Tyg is still with us. Anatolians are very protective of their flock and family. If you know anyone with Anatloian Shepherd experience looking for a fantastic dog, please get in touch with GRRAND. .  Sadly, Tyg has been at the GRRAND kennel for over a year. The kennel volunteers recently had a pool party to celebrate Tyg's one-year anniversary at the kennel - he got to swim, eat doggie cake, and of course, get dressed up! Tyg is a 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix who came to GRRAND in 2019 as a 3-month-old puppy. He was adopted by a couple who sadly had to return him in June 2023 due to unforeseen circumstances. He was so sad and would sit by the fence looking for his people to return. He is now settled at the kennel and is certainly a volunteer favorite! Once he decides you are okay, you will be his best bud - but it takes him a while to warm up to new people. He will try and squeeze his 100+ lb body on a chair with you for hugs and kisses. The volunteers love to dress him up and he never complains; the perfect model! He loves the pool and gets to go for a swim every day in the summer. He is very well trained on the leash and loves to go for walks, but he does have a tendency to lunge at large trucks and vans so he needs a strong hand to keep him under control. Tyg is a special boy. He is extremely sweet, loyal and protective of his people. We believe it's best for Tyg to go to a home with an experienced dog owner, no other pets and no children, ideally with a large fenced yard he can patrol, and few outside visitors. Please open your heart and home for this wonderful boy. He will repay you with an abundance of love and loyalty. #anatolianshepherd #anatolianshepherdmix #belgianmalinois #belgianmalinoislovers #belgianmalinoisofinstagram GRRAND trainers have promised Tygrys that they will educate the right family on how to handle a breed like his. If you would like to meet Tyg, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org   ##1734296##

Story
We have had Sadie as a puppy at 6 weeks. She is a sweet, loyal, cuddly dog. She loves to snuggle and talk. She is fully potty trained and stays in her crate when we leave. She loves her crate and very often will lay in there willingly and on her own. She is playful and stays in our unfenced yard. She does NOT get along with other dogs, which is our reason for rehoming. Even though we have had her since a puppy, her aggressiveness toward our other dog has gotten worse. She loves our children and has never went after a person. We request She goes to a home where she will be the only dog and she will make a great pet!
