Story
Odie is the sweetest boy and has been the best family dog for the past five years. Unfortunately, we believe our newborn daughter has a pet allergy and feel we can no longer give him the life he deserves. Odin is super affectionate, loves cuddles, and thinks he’s a lap dog despite his size. He loves to run outside and take naps. He knows basic commands - sit, stay, down, high five, shake, paw, and can boop with his nose. Odin can be protective of his people, but if you’re good with someone, he is too. He is great with kids, cats, people, and most dogs. He was attacked by a french bulldog and since then has been fearful of little dogs (as crazy as it sounds) so he can be defensive around them. Has lived with two other mid to large sized dogs before and never had a problem with them or other larger dogs. Although it breaks our hearts to rehome him, we want him to live a full happy life with someone that has adequate time to devote to him.

Story
Meet Bear 🐻🐾Bear is a 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who was found as a stray and sadly never reclaimed. Now, this handsome guy is ready for a fresh start with a family of his own. Weighing about 60 pounds, Bear is a big, playful goofball with an even bigger heart. He’s very loving and an absolute ham—always eager for attention and happy to show off his silly, charming personality. Bear loves to play catch and enjoys staying active, making him a great match for someone who wants a fun-loving companion.Since Bear came in as a stray, we’re still learning about how he does with other animals, kids, and whether he’s house or crate trained, but his affectionate nature suggests he’ll thrive with a patient adopter willing to help him learn the ropes.Bear is heartworm negative and up to date on vaccinations, so he’s healthy and ready to go home. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful young dog with tons of personality and potential, Bear might just steal your heart ❤️Bear's Adoption Fee is $115.50 plus taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Story
Canaan is a 2 year old Anatolian shepherd, he’s a livestock guardian dog, but he doesn’t know it. He’s never spent a night outside. I got Canaan when I lived on a little farm that had to move for work. We now live in a neighborhood. Because of moving to the neighborhood, Canaan is trained to the e-collar. And is extremely well behaved. Unfortunately work is picking up more each day and it is making it hard to spend with Canaan. I really think you would enjoy being with the family that we have more time to spend with him

Story
Pretzel is sunshine in dog form at an estimated 4-5 months of age. Based upon visual breed identification we believe Pretzel is an Anatolian Shepherd. Unfortunately, Pretzel was found starving, severely emaciated, as a stray and we do not know his history or background prior to arrival at the shelter.    Pretzel is the most kind-hearted, social, goober of a puppy that you will meet. He is pretty sure everybody loves him, they obviously want to cuddle or roughhouse or feed him treats, but they absolutely adore him and he will not be convinced otherwise. And honestly, who could blame him? When you are sunshine personified you're pretty darn loveable. Pretzel is doing well learning all the important puppy things like not eating shoes, staying clean both in his crate and in the house, and using his cuteness to exploit people for extra treats. He is a puppy though and will need ongoing guidance, socialization, and training to ensure he grows up to be a good canine citizen.    Pretzel lives with other dogs and is a big fan of chase games and bitey face. He is a puppy so he can be a bit annoying to the older dogs but he takes guidance and cues from them well. He is typically confident and polite meeting new dogs. Pretzel currently resides with two cats but we aren't sure if he has noticed that they aren't just weird looking dogs. He currently shows no interest in them and would likely continue to do well with feline roommates.    Pretzel still has some weight to gain despite doubling in his short time with us and he has lots of growing to do to match his big ole' paws. He is looking for a loving, active home that will give him the TLC and adventure his puppy heart needs. If you're the home for Pretzel email us at tierhavenrescue@gmail.com for an adoption application or visit Tierhaven.rescuegroups.org for our FAQsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 12, 2025, 9:13 pm
