Story
🐾 Meet Chase! 🐾 Chase is a handsome, affectionate puppy with a big heart — and big paws to match! At just under 6 months old (DOB: 01/10/2025), Chase already weighs 55 pounds and is growing into a large, sturdy boy, true to his Anatolian Shepherd heritage. His beautiful tan coat, expressive face, and playful personality make him impossible not to love. Chase is about 90% potty trained — he does great as long as you give him regular potty breaks. He’s a smart pup who's eager to learn and thrives on positive reinforcement. Chase gets along wonderfully with other animals, but in true playful puppy fashion, he does love to try to chase the ducks when they’re in the pond — it’s harmless and honestly, pretty hilarious! With a little guidance, he’s sure to learn his boundaries. What to Know About Anatolian Shepherds: Anatolian Shepherds are known for being loyal, intelligent, and protective — they were originally bred to guard livestock. They tend to be independent thinkers and bond closely with their families. Their natural instincts make them excellent guardians, but they also need consistent training and socialization from a young age. Given his likely mix, Chase brings the best of this breed's traits, along with his own goofy, loving personality. Chase will likely grow to be 80-100+ pounds when fully mature, so he’ll need a home that can accommodate his size and provide him with plenty of space to stretch those long legs. If you're looking for a smart, loving, and entertaining companion who will grow into a gentle giant, Chase could be the perfect addition to your family. Could Chase be your new best friend? 🐶❤️ All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee: $225 for all dogs and puppies. Apply to adopt: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Meet Theo, a sweet and friendly 4-year-old pup who’s ready to find his forever home! This playful, happy boy has a zest for life and is always up for a good walk or a fun play session—especially if toys are involved! Theo already knows a variety of commands and would love to keep learning more—he’s smart, eager to please, and treat-motivated. He’s also done a great job keeping his kennel clean, which is a great sign that he’s housetrained or would be easy to train in a home environment. With his winning personality and energetic spirit, Theo is the kind of dog who will bring joy and laughter to any household. Come meet this wonderful boy and see if he’s the perfect match for your family!Theo would love to meet any potential canine siblings! Story
Meet Luanne! Luanne is an extra-large shepherd mix that was found with her sister. She is the more confident of the two sisters. About a year and a half old, Luanne is fearless, and her natural protectiveness really shines in her current foster home on a farm.  She has found snakes and other small wildlife while others are oblivious.  She absolutely loves humans.! Her fosters are working on correcting her habit of jumping up on people, especially kids (she just can’t contain her excitement and enthusiasm for their love and affection) so small kids may not be ideal, not because she wouldn’t love them, she’s just not aware of her size.  She’s also learning to socialize with other dogs.  Not great with small dogs or cats, but she loves other young pups from Lucky13. This extra-large girl needs an extra-large yard and an extra-large heart.  If you’re looking for loyal companion, look no further.  Luanne is ready to meet you! Luanne will come fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $200. Apply to adopt Luanne today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.

Story
Get ready for an extra-large bolt of energy, racing to find her forever home.  If you’ve got land, an extra big back yard, or you love to run and are looking for a motivated buddy, look no further, it’s time to meet Peggy! Peggy is a young shepherd mix that was dumped with her sister out in the country.  Her extra-large size means an extra lot of love.  She absolutely loves people of all sizes.  Though her size can be intimidating to other dogs, and she lacked social skills when she first arrived, she has learned to socialize with several young dogs.  She loves playing and being tackled by fellow Lucky13 pups.  Not a fan of small dogs or cats, but she would love a family of any size to call her own.  And if you would consider opening your heart to two dogs, she would love to grow old with her sister.  But she will thrive in any home that will spoil her with all the affection that she deserves!  Peggy will come fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. Peggy's adoption fee is $200. Apply to adopt Peggy today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Linny has come a long way! Initially, Linny did not like other dogs, but she now loves all 4 of the other dogs she is currently living with.  She would be lonely if she didn't have any dogs in her future home. Linny was moved into the house to recover from her spay, and since she's been inside, she's had no accidents!  She is finally starting to discover her puppy side, and loves to play with her foster siblings.  She has lots of energy and loves to go on walks and run around. Linny is a very sweet dog, and if we had any room, we would keep her in a heartbeat. She needs a family to give her lots of love and belly rubs.
