Meet Zia! 🐾 Zia is a 4-year-old Anatolian Shepherd with a heart as big as her paws. She weighs in at a wopping 120lbs! This gentle giant is the perfect mix of laid-back and silly—she’ll happily lounge by your side but is always ready to make you laugh with her goofy antics. Zia is wonderful with family life and gets along great with other dogs, making her a fantastic fit for a family home or a household with furry companions. She’s calm, chill, and steady, but her sweet, playful personality shines through. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will be both a couch buddy and a source of daily smiles and adventure, is crate trained, house broken, and a well rounded gentle giant, Zia is your girl. 🐕💛 #anatolianshepherd #adoptable #adoptme #southernpaws #rescuelove #gentlegiant TO ADOPT ZIA: Apply on our website or email us at southernpawsrescue@gmail.com

Story
This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 110 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up-to-date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides. Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! If you would like to be Charlie’s forever family please email dogs4mylife@ gmail.com or olmc7@ hotmail.com. If you are inquiring from a Gmail address. It is best to use our Gmail address or you might have to look for us in your spam.

Story
Meet Loki Dixon. Don't let the name fool you, this Loki  has officially retired from mischief and is using his powers for good. At almost 3 years old and 77 lbs, this handsome Anatolian Shepherd mix is less “god of chaos” and more “god of cuddles, loyalty, and very polite walks.” Loki is gentle, friendly, and wonderful with people, kids, and other dogs. While Loki may be a little shy at first, give him some reassurance, a little time, and maybe a confident canine buddy to show him the ropes, and you’ll see him blossom into the amazing hero he was always meant to be. Loki wakes up every morning wagging his tail like he’s ready to save the world (or at least go for a walk). Speaking of walks — he walks beautifully on a leash and would happily be your daily adventure sidekick. He’s incredibly loving, loyal, intelligent, and eager to please, especially if treats are involved. Peanut butter? Ball time? You have his full attention. Loki already knows sit and off, is housetrained, easily redirected, and is very treat-motivated (his secret weakness). Despite his timid beginnings, this sweet boy’s superpower is his heart — once he trusts you, he’s all in. Loki is microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and his adoption fee is $415.  He may share a name with a comic book villain but this Loki's only scheme is stealing hearts.  Loki is eager to join your pack, so apply at EHRDOGS.ORG and be sure to ask for LOKI DIXON. Things happen — but remember, it’s never the dog’s fault. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Dogs can’t speak; they count on us to do right by them. Welcome back Eric (aka Koda)! He’s been returned for being “too much”… which really means too much fun! He’s a little bigger now, and just as wild and wonderful as ever. Koda’s a Puggle mix (I know, I know — he doesn’t look it, but I promise he is! ‍&#226&#153&#128&#239&#184&#143). This boy is bursting with life and energy. He loves to play, wrestle with his foster sister Charlie, and would make an amazing walking or running buddy. Honestly, he could use a job — because with all the treats he’s earning, rent is due soon Koda thrives with someone who gets the energy and drive of a working breed. He’s eager to please, smart, and full of personality — plus he’ll do anything for a treat. &#226&#156&#133 DOB 12/10/24 &#226&#156&#133 Fully vetted &#226&#156&#133 Crate trained &#226&#156&#133 House trained &#226&#156&#133 Knows basic commands &#226&#156&#133 Great with kids &#226&#157&#140 No cats If you’re looking for a fun, active, treat-motivated sidekick, Koda’s your guy!
