Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue.  Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website.  Email shaestorm16@hotmail.com or text 828-280-6844 for more information or to adopt the pet.Kylo is a male Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. 5 3/4 years old.  He is extremely intelligent, affectionate, gentle, playful & sweet. He loves to play keep away/chase with socks, gloves, slippers, even tissues, which he always gives back unharmed. He loves to sleep next to me. Loves to protect me.He is an exceptionally gorgeous creature. He gets lots of attention and compliments wherever we go because he is so very handsome. He loves to ride in the car, but will bark at other large dogs he sees on the street. He is friendly with kids & grown humans; he is good with small dogs & cats & will even share his food! His best friend is a chihuahua who is not even as big as Kylo's beautiful bushy tail. He is reactive to larger dogs.Kylo is easily controlled on leash until distracted by other dogs, then he will bark & pull. He once barked at a statue of a lion in a driveway :). He does not like moving cars and will lunge at them if they pass too closely. I do not often walk him on the street. He needs a fenced yard.Kylo's ancient breeding is to be a protector. He feels it is his job to guard the perimeter and would do this routinely when we had a big fenced yard. His bark is deep and loud, which he uses tocommunicate & is his first line of defense when he is on alert to something.Kylo needs a person(s) he can give his heart & unfaltering loyalty to.  He also needs a fenced in yard so he can run & play... hopefully with no neighbors close by who might object to protective barking.  He is a such beautiful guy....a beautiful Soul. Given the appropriate environment for us to live, I would NEVER be seeking to re-home. He is a very special, very loved dog. He deserves a really happy life, which I just cannot provide for him right now.Email me at shaestorm16@hotmail.com or text me at 828-280-6844 to learn more about sweet Kylo. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Story
Tobias arrived at HCAS like a scared, timid dog who hid in the corner, but with patience, routine, and a whole lot of love, he has definitely bloomed into a happy young dog who is enjoying his life. At just over a year old, this formerly timid boy is proof that gentle hearts just need time to feel safe.Tobias todayThese days, Tobias loves being goofy along the trail with his volunteer buddies, sniffing every interesting leaf and sticking close to the people he trusts. In the play yard, you’ll catch glimpses of his silly side as he relaxes, runs, and checks back in for reassuring ear rubs and soft words.•Enjoys calm walks and quiet adventures.•Thrives on gentle affection and encouragement.•Young, sensitive, and eager to keep learning. What Tobias needsNew situations still make Tobias worry, so he is looking for a family who will let him take things at his own pace and never push him into scary moments. A predictable routine, positive reinforcement, and patient humans will help him continue building confidence and show just how sweet and loving he can be.If you have a soft spot for unsure souls and want to be someone’s safe place, Tobias is ready to be your shadow, your walking buddy, and your “look-how-far-he’s-come” success story

Spark's Story Born: October 30, 2025 Projected Adult Size: Under 35 lbs Status: Bottle-Raised • Thriving • Accepting Adoption Applications Now Meet this joyful little miracle! This pup came into the world by accident—her mom, Eggnog, was discovered to be pregnant during a routine spay appointment. After giving birth to a litter of seven, Eggnog unfortunately rejected the babies a few days later. Thankfully, an experienced GreenePets foster stepped up immediately. She has been bottle-raising four of the puppies around the clock, giving them the best possible start to life. These babies are thriving, full of energy, and embracing life with all the enthusiasm you’d expect from confident, well-socialized pups. This baby doggie will likely stay under 35 pounds when fully grown. Well handled lovingly since birth and will make an exceptional companion for a family who’s ready for puppy energy, structure, and lots of affection. Why Apply Now? These pups will be ready for adoption soon, and we expect a lot of interest given their size, temperament, and early handling. Start your application process now to be considered when they’re ready to go home.

Story
Meet Auggie!  Auggie is a dog’s dog. He absolutely adores other pups and will happily shadow them all day—Penny is his idol! While he loves humans (especially teens), dogs are his favorite companions. With cats, he’s a “live and let live” kind of guy. With kids, he’s gentle but clumsy—think giant toddler energy. Auggie is looking for a family who can keep up with his big brain, bigger body, and biggest heart. He’ll thrive in a home with another playful pup, a tall fence, and humans who don’t mind being adored (after his dog buddy, of course). If you’re ready to bring home a loyal shadow, a high-jump champion, and a goofy best friend rolled into one, Auggie is waiting for you!   He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Auggie is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT AUGGIE!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit. August 20, 2025, 12:33 pm
