We got Cooper as a puppy. This is hard to rehome him; but his size ist compatible to our lifestyle. He is a goof and loves to play. He is a gentle giant that truly thinks he is a lap dog. He does OK walking on a leash, but has escaped from a screen door left open a few times, with a quick return because we noticed immediately. He loves cuddling on a chair with a dog or 2 or a human companion. He is selective on the dogs that he gets along with. He has never lived with cats, but would probably not do well. He loves to be neighborhood watch and will let you know when a big truck has arrived; you've received a package or if there is someone walking by. He has never tried to jump our 4 ft fence; even with a running start; but he would be able to clear it if he tried, so a taller fence would be a better. He does well in a kennel; but does have separation anxiety, so we try not to be gone too long. He knows a few commands & alerts for bathroom needs. He sleeps in our kids' beds, but snores
