Story
We got Cooper as a puppy. This is hard to rehome him; but his size ist compatible to our lifestyle. He is a goof and loves to play. He is a gentle giant that truly thinks he is a lap dog. He does OK walking on a leash, but has escaped from a screen door left open a few times, with a quick return because we noticed immediately. He loves cuddling on a chair with a dog or 2 or a human companion. He is selective on the dogs that he gets along with. He has never lived with cats, but would probably not do well. He loves to be neighborhood watch and will let you know when a big truck has arrived; you've received a package or if there is someone walking by. He has never tried to jump our 4 ft fence; even with a running start; but he would be able to clear it if he tried, so a taller fence would be a better. He does well in a kennel; but does have separation anxiety, so we try not to be gone too long. He knows a few commands & alerts for bathroom needs. He sleeps in our kids' beds, but snores

Story
Meet Shrek! This 88 lb gentle giant is a 3-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who’s as sweet as he is handsome. Shrek loves long walks through his “kingdom,” playing in the yard, and giving the kind of big bear hugs and slobbery kisses that could melt even Lord Farquaad’s heart. He may look like a tough guy, but underneath it all he’s pure goofy, affectionate charm - think big dog energy with a heart made of waffles (and maybe a little donkey energy too). If you’re ready for your own happily ever after, come meet Shrek - because every hero deserves a best friend, and this one’s ready to be yours!December 14, 2025, 1:27 pm

**It is very important to reserach the breed if you are not familiar with them, as livestock guardians have their own set of idiosyncracies that need to be considered. Reminder: Anatolians are NOT German Shepherds, but instead are a very different breed. She's a big hit with everyone and she, in return, adores all. She can sometimes get too excited and hug with enthusiasm, but we're working on that because she's a big girl who is still growing. Hattie loves dogs and would be very lonely and more anxious without them. She has a heart of gold and really cares about her people and friends, sticking by your side as you go through your daily adventures. Hattie enjoys hugs, gives very gentle kisses and takes her treats/meds gently, as well..to boot, she's an excellent alarm clock, so you'll never oversleep! She loves to play and run around the yard with her best buds, tongue hanging out and incredibly happy; a playful buddy would make her very happy, for she would be very sad as an only dog.  **It is very important to research the Anatolian Shepherd breed if you are not very familiar with them, as they are not a breed for everyone. While Hattie is a lovely, gentle, happy girl, the breed does have it's own idiosyncracies that need to be understood and considered, such as running, roaming, barking, and other animals.***Hattie will need to be surpervised while outdoors during the transition to her new home. She will also need to continue house training and her anti-anxiety meds, to which she has responded very well. She is a strong girl, so her new family must be comfortable with this. A 6ft fence is required, and she can never be trusted off leash, even for short distances. ##2355048##

Story
Say hello to GRACIE — a gentle mini Aussie who’s looking for a patient, loving home. GRACIE arrived after being hit by a car as a stray. Early on, she was overwhelmed and fearful, often trying to hide. With steady routine and kind handling, she’s grown into a calmer dog who’s learning that people can be safe. These days, GRACIE participates in a large playgroup and does best when she can take things in slowly. You’ll often find her sunbathing and quietly watching rather than jumping into the middle of the fun. She seeks affection from familiar humans once trust is established. GRACIE’s happiest moments are on long walks, especially with her daytime roommate, OAKLEY—that’s when you really see her confidence shine. GRACIE will do best in a calm home where she can feel secure and loved without pressure. She may not be an instant “lap dog,” but she’ll make her way into your heart in the sweetest, most meaningful way. 📄 Apply to adopt: www.noahs-arks.net/nar-application 📧 NoahsArksRescue@mac.com ☎️ 843-540-6755 ABOUT US: Noah’s Arks Rescue is a nonprofit providing emergency medical help and rehabilitation to abused and neglected dogs.
