Story
Meet Odin, our STUNNING great dane baby boy! Odin is a MASSIVE great dane who came to us from our rural shelter partner after being surrendered by his "breeder aka greeder" Odin was in a home with 4 other intact male dogs and was continuously being attacked. Thankfully that person knew he was in danger and brought him to the shelter in hopes that Odin would find a better home. Odin, is your typical dane was rightfully confused and terrifed being in the shelter. Our giant 150 pound baby was shaking like a leaf. Thankfully we had an amazing foster step up so we could bust this boy out of there. Odin is nothing short of AMAZING. He is your typical unicorn dane and take a minute to learn he is OK but once he knows he is, it is game on for all the loving. He is a leaner and at 150 pounds hes sure to knock someone over! Odin is a huge love bug and wants nothing more than to cuddle up in a bed and just relax. He is very mellow and does not require long walks or anything like that. He does well with other dogs, big and small, just needs proper introductions. He has not met a cat. He is happiest just moseying around the home. Odin has been fully vetted, neutered and is heartworm negative! This giant baby is ready for a life full of comfort and love where he will never be put in a position like he was again. If interested in adopting Odin apply directly via our website at www.dustytailsanimalrescue.org The adoption fee is $425.

Story
Introducing our extremley handsome hunk mister Lucky! Lucky came to us from a shelter right here in Charleston after being surrendered by his owner. When being surrenedered, Lucky was brought in, in the bed of a pickup truck with no crate. So needless to say, his past was not very kind to him. Lucky is guessed to be pretty young and right now only weighs just over 100 pounds but could use some groceries and growing to do! Lucky is just that-lucky! He is the sweetest happiest man! In typical Dane fashion he can be a little nervous around new people and takes a little bit to warm up. He is skiddish but once he realizes youre not going to hurt him he becomes a piece of velcro that you can not remove. Lucky was obviously not treated very fairly so its understandable he is a little nervous. Once he opens up though- this boy is truly incredible. It took him about 4 days with his foster but now he zips and zooms around the yard and LOVES to play with his people and toys! He LOVES to play with floofy toys and shake them in his mouth while simulatneously whipping himselgf in the face-its pretty hilarous watching him be so happy and care free. Lucky LOVES other dogs and would do best in a home with another dog who can show him the ropes and help him settle in. Right now he is best friends with Pogo, a tripod in our rescue, and needless to say he loves his doggy pals. He is fully vetted, neutered, and has been treated for heartworm disease. He is house trained and does OK in the crate. Lucky is ready for his new lease on life. Where he will be loved and cared for as he should have been this whole time! Lucky is an incredible dane and true to his breed. He will make a family very happy. He has not been cat tested as of yet. If interested in applying apply today via our website at www.dustytailsanimalrescue.org
