Meet Hermione, a one-year-old Great Dane/Pit mix. Hermione’s story is a tender one. She originally came in as a stray alongside another dog, and while that dog was reclaimed, Hermione was left behind as they had been already wanting to rehome her. Despite it all, she’s remained gentle, loving, and full of quiet hope for a family of her own.We’re told her mom is a Pitbull and her dad is a Mastiff/Great Dane mix, and she carries that big-dog presence with an extra-soft heart. Hermione can be a little shy and unsure at first, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines—sweet, affectionate, and incredibly devoted.She’s the kind of dog who just wants to be close to her person. Hermione loves to curl up in your lap (yes, she thinks she’s a lap dog!) and gives the softest, sweetest kisses. We can easily see her living her best life as a cozy couch companion, soaking up love and giving it right back.Hermione is good on leash and has a sensitive nature, so she’ll do best in a calm, patient home that will give her the time and reassurance she needs to build confidence.If you’re looking for a gentle, loving soul to share quiet moments and lots of snuggles, Hermione may be your perfect match.This pet is available for adoption on 4.24.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
