Story
Darby just turned 5. She is energetic, busy, loves to cuddle and give dog kisses, is smart, and learns new commands easily. She is happiest with lots of mental and physical stimulation. She plays with dogs and and her people at doggie day care with no issues. Once she has decided you are one of her people she is very excited and happy to see you. Her breed instincts show up with a cautiousness around new people and the urge to defend her territory. She might try to herd strange dogs or people away by barking and nipping. She clearly doesn't care for squirrels and delivery people. A good home would provide calm leadership absolute dog loving, and lots of activity. She would love a large outdoor space to run, run, run. She adores the children she knows, but thinks they are puppies to jump on and wrestle with. She's very curious about cats and might pester them. New people should be thoroughly introduced. I am giving her up because I can not keep up with her.

Once comfortable, her affectionate nature shines—she’s motivated by your praise and loves to learn, picking up new cues with impressive speed. She carries herself with a soft, careful mouth, embodying her sweet and sensitive spirit. Mabel would flourish in a peaceful home where she can become the devoted and elegant pup we know she can become. Since Mabel tends to be on the skittish and shy side we think she would do best in an adult only home or a single person house. She would prefer a quiet house that does not have people coming in and out frequently. Muffin Head is an adorable senior Poodle mix. At around 10 pounds, she’s a calm, funny and affectionate little sidekick. Muffin loves her neighborhood walks, snack time, and curling up with her people. She has a playful side and does a hilarious little bounce when she's extra happy. She's housetrained, too. Muffin is deaf but very tuned in to her humans. She had dental surgery to remove her teeth, which gives her an adorable lolling side tongue. Given her age and hearing loss, Muffin would do best in a calm home where she can enjoy a slower pace. She can be protective of her favorite people, so she'd prefer to be your only pet. She’s been through some tough times, but she's a happy and resilient little dog.

Missy is one of two dogs that were abandoned in a taxi cab and then dropped off at Jelly's Place. She is initially shy and guarded, but once you gain her trust she can't get enough of you. Missy loves cuddles, being next to her person, and playing with her ball. She is house & crate trained, and is working on leash walking. She must be kept on a leash if out in an unfenced area. She is not fond of people in general and will need some work on that. she gets along with other small dogs given time. Missy will be spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated as part of the adoption process. If interested in meeting this sweet girl, please complete an application at www.jellysplace.org.
