Wonka is a wonder 2 year old deaf fella! Unfortunately due to a recent split , getting multiple jobs and down sizing he isn’t adjusting well to his new environment. I’m simply not home enough, he lost his back yard, and because he’s deaf he is a little anxious! He just need his people and kids around all the time..he loves the car and walks and does all the typical dog stuff he just needs someone patient and willing to get up and train him because verbal doesn’t work.

If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Claude is an approximately 10 year old purebred male grey miniature poodle who weighs in at 12 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $200.  If you are still interested, please read more below. This sweet boy had to come back to ARF because his Mom needed more care herself. She moved to assisted living and was not able to take care of her beloved dog any longer. He was already an aging dog when she adopted him. Today he has many challenges. He is looking for an angel who will care for him, provide soft beds for his many naps, and loving pets for him for the time he has left. He is on blood pressure medicine for the rest of his life, his sight is extremely limited, and his hearing is going. He does get the zoomies after a bath and excited at meal time - you see the puppy emerge occasionally for quick bursts. He is fine with cats (ignores them) and gets along well with other dogs.  Claude is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and neutered.  This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation!
