Adopt Rocky! 🐾 Rocky is an energetic, charismatic 8-month-old Aussiedoodle who’s equal parts brains, heart, and zoomies. He’s a super smart boy who loves to learn, is very treat-motivated, and genuinely wants to please his people. Rocky already knows a solid list of commands—sit, stay, (almost) heel, come, hop up, and more—and he even knows how to ask to go outside! This active pup needs plenty of physical and mental stimulation to thrive. Continued training is important to help channel his energy, and he’d be happiest in a home with a fenced yard (no apartments please!) space to run or with an adopter who enjoys running, hiking, or other outdoor adventures. Rocky loves attention and wants to play all the time, so a busy, engaged household is ideal. Rocky is fantastic with kids and would make a wonderful family dog. He also does great with other dogs and would love a canine playmate—the companionship and playtime would be a big plus for his high energy needs. He’s played happily with dogs of all sizes and ages. Bonus perks? 🚗 Rocky loves car rides, sits calmly, and enjoys watching the world go by. He’s also very affectionate and prefers not to be left alone for long periods—he truly wants to be wherever his people are. Rocky will need regular professional grooming, typical of his breed. He is currently weaning off medication for a non-contagious skin condition, so we’re looking for an adopter willing to do a foster-to-adopt placement for the remainder of his treatment (about one month). Sweet little Oreo hasn't had the easiest of times in his short 9 months or so in this world, but he's come a long way, baby, in the short time he's been safe in the CPR circle. When he first came to us, he was very leery of anybody touching him, but after just over a week with us, he's learning to trust and learning that not all people are bad. Some people are bad, and we're working really hard to overcome what he's been shown from people in the past. Because he's not 100% sure of people just yet, we're looking for a mature home that wlll give him the space and time he needs to get comfortable and know that he's safe even in a new home. As time goes by, we might entertain a home with older kids, but for now, we feel like the peace and quiet of a more mature home will be best for him. He likes a car ride and is improving on his leash skills. He's good with other dogs, but not so much interested in playing with other dogs at this point. He's still got a bit to go in order to really be the very best boy he can be, but we know that his people are out there looking for a special fellow to love. Oreo is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. For much of her early life, MeShell tried to be content with limited interaction and long hours alone. While she loved her family, the lack of stimulation and extended crate confinement placed stress on her gentle system, eventually leading to a diagnosis of Addison’s Disease — a condition that is very manageable, especially in a home built on routine, consistency, and love. Everything changed when MeShell entered foster care. Surrounded for the first time by open skies, fresh air, and patient guidance, she began discovering what life could be. On a lively farm filled with dogs of all sizes, curious cats, horses, donkeys, and even pigs, MeShell absorbed new experiences with quiet determination. She learned how to play, how to relax in the presence of others, and how to take joy in simple freedoms — running through tall grass, resting near trusted humans, and curling up beside a canine companion at the end of the day. Today, MeShell is a happy, affectionate, and energetic girl who thrives on companionship and gentle structure. She is deeply people-oriented and does best when she is included, seen, and emotionally connected to her humans. We pulled Colby along with his brother and sister from a high kill shelter in GA when they were 10 weeks old. Their mom is a pure bred Black standard Poodle that was allowed to run and she came home pregnant. All three pup look a bit different, so we are sure there were different dads. Colby looks like he has Brittany spaniel in him but that is only a guess He has long wavy hair a scruffy face and seems to be very low shedding. Colby's brother and sister have now gone to their new homes, and he is anxiously waiting for his family! We think that Colby will be close to 60 lbs when grown. He loves people although a bit shy at first and he loves other dogs. He is one happy boy all the time. We're all just crazy about his cuteness! He is now 8 months old and UTD on shots and has been neutered and microchipped Colby is happy, playful and affectionate. He would be a great addition to any family. Mistletoe is a little sweetheart and she has tons of personality! Her mom is a small B&W rat terrier mix and dad is a doodle. Mom was taken in as a stray by a lady with an unaltered doodle. Before she could find a rescue to help with mom, she became pregnant. Mistletoe, th runt in the litter, is friendly, loving and smart! She is great with other dogs and people of all ages. She has not been around a cat yet but we are confident she will be fine with proper intro. Being the runt, she always seems to end up on the bottom and she still plays hard and never gets mad! Mistletoe is healthy, UTD on puppy shots and worming. She will be spayed and microchipped before going to her forever home.
