Story
All of our dogs are housed in private homes, we do not have a store or a shelter.  We do not show dogs to interested parties until they have an approved adoption application.  If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.helpingshepherdsofeverycolor.com/adoption-application  You may also find us on facebook:  Helping Shepherds of Every Color Rescue. 6/24/22 Ducky is a very sweet boy.  He likes dogs, cats, chickens, kids, and yes, even ducks.  He is brand new to rescue but we do know that he is a sweet dog.  He is initially timid around men.   2/21/24  Ducky is still in the rescue.  He is a smart dog and very sweet. Just because a dog looks like a German Shepherd mix doesn't mean it is.  We found out that Ducky is actually mostly heeler.  That's OK he needed a place to land, and we had room. Story
Oh, hi. My name is Beth and I am so confused. I was roaming around a neighborhood close to a school. I was looking for some food, shelter, and maybe a little help! Well someone did help me. He called Animal Control to pick me up. I got me a big clean dog run, a big bowl of food, and a nice comfy bed. Ahhhhhh.....I am now on the search for a new home. When I was picked up I actually had a microchip! Problem was, the person they called said the he no longer owned me and had no idea who my owner was. Anyway the shelter is helping find a new home. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I am an Aussie cattle dog mix which means I am a working dog. Please keep me busy and active!

Story
Sandy is in a foster home! She is a 2-and-1/2-year-old female Blue Heeler mix.  She was a stray drop off in November; and no owner reclaimed her.  Sandy is a gorgeous dog who weighs approximately 40 pounds.  Although highly adoptable, she has tested heart worm positive.  Sandy has been in foster since December but her foster can no longer keep her.  We need someone to step up and foster her for the rest of her heart worm treatments. She is currently on 'slow kill' treatment; and needs to be out of the shelter.  Sandy is crate trained and leash trained.   She is high energy, loves other dogs (although we always recommend a meet and greet), and enjoys playing in water.  Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50.  September 19, 2024, 9:28 pm
