Story
IMPOSTER ALERT!  Meet Addie. The shelter believes she is an Australian Cattle Dog or Cattle Dog x.    She was found and no one came for her so she is being fostered by a BAGSR volunteer.   Addie is a stunning package of flying monkey.  She can settle nicely in the house and be a jewel on lead. She can also be a bouncing puppy, can't keep her body off your lap, let me hold you with my mouth package of puppy precociousness. Addie came to us us as an underexposed pup and would bark at people or dogs passing , strange noises, unusual objects. Now you can vacuum with her in the room, she will meet strangers on walks and when a surprise guest came through the door with no warning Addie mobbed him with puppy kisses and zillions of herding dog love nips. All of that change occurred in one weeks time. Addie is SMART. She has been losing her baby teeth so chew toys are really popular and she is doing great with housetraining, basic politeness and learning about the big world all around.  Addie loves to look for ground dwelling critters, adores deep shrubbery and can follow a track like a pro. She would be a great barn hunt candidate. Herding dogs really are happiest with people who understand them or want to learn. She will fall into a sit or frozen down and stare in true herding form. Those piercing blue eyes are compelling!    Are you the person who can help her blossom into the amazing, athletic, quick thinking best friend that she is destined to be? A housemate dog who plays rough and can give her some skills may be fun and a fenced space where she can run would be awesome! Addie is being fostered in a home with no fences so everything must be done on lead- she would love to run and play. Addie is being fostered in Carmel and the East Bay and can be adopted through Contra Costa Animal Services in Martinez. https://www.contracosta.ca.gov/7885/Available-Dogs   ##2270779##

Story
Goldie, a cattledog mix, about 3 yrs old, has quite a tale to tell. She arrived with a history of hardship, already pregnant and understandably frightened. When her puppies came into the world, she transformed into a fiercely protective mom, allowing only a select few near her precious little ones. Over time, Goldie has learned that we humans aren’t so bad after all. She warms up gradually, appreciating the right introductions. She enjoys playing with toys and loves belly rubs. Goldie seeks a calm household where she can simply hang out and cuddle on the couch. Leash skills are a work in progress, but she’s making strides. If you’re looking for a sweet and very devoted companion who appreciates quiet moments, Goldie might just be the perfect fit for you! Adoption fees include: Spay or Neuter, All vaccinations are up to date, and a microchip. If you have current pets we do allow a two week trial period for $50. This allows us to make sure that the animal will fit in with the resident animals.Come meet me!Countryside Rescue is open Tuesday - Friday 11am to 3pm by appointment only.Appointments can be made by calling 707-542-5582 or emailing countrysiderescuesr@gmail.com.  Please ensure that you receive a confirmation of your appointment before arriving to ensure we are properly staffed for your visit.Drop-In (Without an appointment) Satruday from 11am to 3pm.  We are closed Sunday and Monday.                                                                                                                                                Please complete our online applicationat  : https://forms.gle/PGmGoo2ZoBEtU4D18   ##1879579##
