Story
Chico was adopted by our family when was 8 weeks old, in April 2019 and at the time my kids were in their early teens and he was good boy growing with them. He loves walks, playing with squeaky toys and fetch with tennis balls. He is a good cuddler. He does great hiking off leashe, camping and going to the beach. After Covid, Chico had become very leery of strangers and could not stand the sounds of a crying baby or small toddlers, and visitors who came to the house. We have invested a few thousand dollars in having Chico trained to be friendly towards strangers. However his fears with babies remain. If he hears babies crying, even on tv, he lashes out with barking and growls at the nearest small animal. We love Chico and never expected to have to rehome him, however we have found ourselves pregnant and starting over and do not want to put him in a stressful environment having to listen to a baby.

What kind of home (busy, mellow) do they currently live in? Bumper has not bit anyone in 10 days. He is not social with other people. He was already shy when he was adopted, and attacked by the neighbors dog the first week at home. He needs to go somewhere where he can be free and not have social expectations. He will bite.Bumper is a good dog, but he is highly sensitive and extremely reactive. It will take him an extended amount of time to get closer to someone. I love him so much, but he came this way with the breeder and he did not get better. We’ve tried so many things but he is as withdrawn as the first day. He needs to go with a person who does not have a family with small children. He loves cats. He would be best in a country setting. He was raised with horses. Please do not expect to make an emotional connection with him, that could take a long long while.

Meet Marlowe 🎾🐾—a vivacious almost 3-year-old mix of Cattle Dog, Lab, and Border Collie who’s as clever as she is charming! This affectionate and sweet lady is an all-star when it comes to obedience and training. Professionally trained and polished, Marlowe knows all the important commands: “sit,” “down,” “off,” “heel,” “place,” and “come.” She’s a dream for anyone looking for a well-mannered, intelligent companion who’s ready to jump into life with all four paws 🐶✨. Full of energy and joy, Marlowe thrives on play and adventure 🌟🎾. She’s a fetch queen, chasing down her ball with lightning speed and proud precision. Whether she’s rocking it in doggy playgroups, hiking the trails with her favorite humans, or showing off her smarts in training sessions, Marlowe is happiest when her body and mind are both engaged. She’s a goofball at heart, guaranteed to make you smile with her silly antics and tail-wagging enthusiasm 🐕🌈. But don’t let her playful spirit fool you—this girl knows how to wind down. After a good day of play, she’s all about the cuddles, offering sweet affection and loyal companionship 💞🛋️. Due to her size and zest for life, Marlowe would do best in an adult-only home without small children. She’s friendly with both large and small dogs, but her ideal match is an active individual or family who can keep up with her brilliance and boundless energy. If you're ready for adventure, laughter, and love—Marlowe is ready to meet you! 🏡
