Story
Cattle Dog mix, maleMeet Rodney!  He came from King’s County along wi3th two other pups. Rodney is around 1 year old, a cattle dog mix.  He is a small/medium sized guy at 35 lbs.   Rodney is very submissive and nice.  He’s sweet and wants to give paw.  He is cautious but great with the entire pack.  He's a combination of respectful and no nonsense! Completely appropriate, he defers to the dogs already here, and gently tells other dogs to step off if they try to steal Rodney's cow hoof!   Check out this beautiful young guy. Dog social. Respectful of everyone! Rodney is a pleasure here. Easy keeper! Rodney is neutered, chipped, and up to date on vaccinations.  Rodney is in Templeton, CA. Story
Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix maleWelcome Maximus MMXXVI, more commonly known as “Max” from City of Tulare Animal Services.    Max is a leggy, 31lb, 2 year old, male cattle dog mix. He found himself at the shelter (December 2025) after his person went to the hospital. Either they never made it out or just never circled back around for him. That said, it’s clear he knows how to navigate the inside of a home. He’s housebroken and knows some basic commands. Max is dog friendly, in fact he was the shelter’s tester dog for the last 2 months so if that says anything about his character. He’s also very people social. Max is a fun guy with a lot of charm and spirit. He’s toy motivated and would make a great sport dog. He’s cat-like in his movements and very light on his feet. When he’s not playing, he’s snuggling (very affectionate, aim to please boy). Max is microchipped, neutered, and UTD on vaccines. Located in Arroyo Grande, CA More photos and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/www.cchdrescue.org/  search in posts and photo albums. Story
Cattle Dog mix, femaleMeet Tina!  About 18 months old, Tina is from King's County Animal Services. And she's about 18lbs! She is very sweet and demure, but playful.  Give her love and she soaks it up like a sponge.  Tina is a gem! Really nice little heeler.  I didn't have to put a leash on her. She follows beautifully in the enclosure. It's big enough to train recall up there.  She did great off leash. Tina is a sweetheart with all dogs. She loves people. When you approach her she immediately rolls on her side and shows her belly, inviting pets and scratches. Tina is located in Templeton, CA.  Tina is spayed, chipped, current on vaccinations and parasite abatement and she is ready to roll in out into her new forever home! Cattle Dog mix, femaleClaire is a 2 year old heeler mix with a cute little naturally bobbed tail.  Claire is great sport. Nice girl. Easy going. Totally nice with other dogs.  With so many dogs at the rescue right now, it's good to have a sensible adult dog join the pack! Claire was able to be off leash right away and took her cues from the resident dogs.  Claire is a bit of a heeler mix. Her head looks like border collie. Claire is spayed, chipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Claire is in Templeton, CA More photos and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/www.cchdrescue.org/  search in posts and photo albums.
