Story
Ethel is the name given to this pretty girl and honestly it is NOT a pretty enough name for this Cattle Dog girl.  Look at this black beauty with a bob tail and at just a year old, she weighs a little over 20 pounds and is fully grown.   She is adorable and needs a great home that will allow her to play and learn and be a wonderful hiking and family companion.  Ethel is said to be mostly housebroken but a little reinforcing and scheduling will help make that 100%.  What Ethel needs is a foster home and soon a real family or person will come along.  She is very special!!!  ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm

Story
** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe St location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day between 12pm-7pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to allow ample time to interact with adoptable dogs. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. Wow, I was really lucky to be rescued by a kind person and now I'm told I'm a great candidate for a loving home. Not only that, but they call me Jolie. I'm told that Jolie means pretty in French, so I take that as a great compliment, and many people have told me it's the perfect name for me. But we all know that pretty is as pretty does and I'm also a very sweet and curious young lady. That means that I could be a great addition to your home and a faithful friend for many years. So, please come to meet me and give me your vote to be the new pal you would like to take home with you.

Story
Blue Tellico is a lively 15-month-old Blue Heeler boy that is smart and everything you expect in a Blue Heeler/Cattle Dog. Trained by professionals, Blue Tellico showcases impressive agility and quickness with a strong passion to spend lots of time outdoors looking for adventures and romping in the local creek and looking for squirrels to chase. Despite his energetic nature, Tellico is incredibly affectionate and adores cuddle sessions. The ideal home is a setting with space to run and explore in the woods, a creek or water source nearby for him to play in, too.  BlueTellico gets along well with other animals but isn't suited for households with young children because he tries to herd them and the current children are scared of him and his desire to round them up.  He would truly be good on a horse farm or someplace that caters to his outdoor need. We do encourage anyone interested, to be sure you understand the Blue Heeler breed and are willing to be his leader.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm

Story
Female, 2 years old, ~35 lbs Dempsey is a happy, bubbly girl. She is new to the rescue. We will add more information as we get to know the dog better. If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a DOG: http://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-dogs.html Interested in saving more lives? Foster a dog today! Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

Story
Please contact Paul Slebzak (pauls@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.young girl looking for her forever family! TRINITY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Trinity and other great adoptable dogs this Saturday (April 20th) from 12-2 pm at Dogma Bakery in Arlington (2772 S Arlington Mill Dr, Arlington, VA 22206)!   Name: Trinity       Best Guess for Breed: Australian cattle dog and blue heeler mix     Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of Sept. 2023         SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:   32 lbs   Gets Along With:    Other dogs! We haven’t seen Trinity with cats, but she can be tested! Due to her shyness, Trinity should not go to a home with kids under 12.   Check out video of Trinity here! https://youtu.be/4f65xnUJE2s and https://youtu.be/0CD-rPXoo6U   Currently Living at:   DC area foster homeSpecial Adoption Considerations: Because Trinity is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. Due to her shy personality, we do not recommend her for a home with children under the age of 12.   All About Trinity:    Meet Trinity, the one-year-old Blue Heeler mix who's ready to become your faithful companion and partner in adventures! With her stunning coat featuring a mix of blue, white, and black, Trinity is not just a sight to behold but also a bundle of intelligence and affection. Trinity is a dynamic and spirited young dog who thrives on both physical activity and mental stimulation. Whether it's a brisk jog, a game of fetch, or a puzzle toy to challenge her intellect, she's always up for the task. Her sharp mind and eagerness to please make her a quick learner, so training and teaching her new tricks will be a joy! But Trinity's true charm lies in her loving nature. She's a sweet and affectionate companion, always ready to shower you with tail wags and cuddles. Whether you're seeking an energetic partner for outdoor adventures or a loving friend to curl up with at the end of the day, Trinity is the perfect mix of enthusiasm and devotion. If you're ready to provide her with a forever home filled with love and activity, come meet Trinity and make her a part of your family today.  What My Foster Says About Me:   Trinity is a very joyful and fun-loving dog. While she can be shy when initially meeting new people it only takes her a few minutes and a couple treats to begin warming up. She obeys the lay down and sit command for treats. Trinity is very loving and affectionate and has been amazing with my kids. She loves to cuddle up with them and get lots of love. She is a herding dog and may playfully nip when overly excited but has been doing very well when redirected to a toy. She loves to be right with her people and will stick by your side. She enjoys playing with her toys in the house, prancing and tossing them in the air, jumping up, and pouncing on them. Outside, Trinity is always up for walks in the neighborhood, chasing balls and sticks in the yard, a good chew toy, sniffing and exploring, and playing in the water! Trinity is very social and loves playing with other dogs. So far, she hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like and doesn’t want to play with. She has been playing wonderfully with my resident dog and our two other foster puppies. Trinity is still somewhat cautious around new people when out on walks, as well as with lots of street traffic and loud and sudden noises. While these can startle Trinity she settles fairly easily with some reassurance and would do well with continued exposure to new experiences. Trinity has done amazing in her crate sleeping through the night with no noise and no accidents and is becoming a pro with the crate command.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
Barbara is an outgoing, low-energy sweet girl. I adopted her 3 years ago and she is an angel. Unfortunately, she doesn't get along well with little dogs and the dogs in my building so I am looking to rehome her. Barbara is great with people but isn't as excited to get along with other pups. She would need to be in a home without other animals.
