Story
Jack is a 1 year old Australian Cattle Labrador mix. He’s a sweet boy who love to receive cuddles. Soft plushie toys are his favorite in keeping calm and he enjoys a good rubber ball or rope toy to throw around by himself. He loves to run and we are looking to rehome with someone who can give him that. He’s smart and would benefit from a bit of training. He can get a little territorial so he would do best as an only pet. We love him so much but realize he would do better in home with a yard versus an apartment. He also started exhibiting littermate syndrome towards one his brothers and we are trying to prevent it from escalating further. He’s very sweet and loving.

Story
This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well,  how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own. Story
This petite little Blue Heeler/Jack Russell girl is a freckle festival that embodies energy, intelligence, love and a zest for living life to the fullest measure!!!  Her name is Zee and she was part of a litter of puppies being given away in a roadside parking lot in Middle Tennessee a few months back.  Zee is currently 8-9 months of age and is small, weighing only 26 pounds and fully grown now, she is ready for the right family who is active and fun!   This girl is bold, fast on her feet and always on the go mentally and then sometimes physically as well.  She is sharp as a tack and ready to learn, to go on an adventure (maybe a nice jog) and is adaptable in life.  She needs a really strong owner with leadership skills and who will set boundaries for her like you must do for children.  We think that older children 10 and above would fit her and her playful energy just right.  She does absorb the foster dad’s calm energy and lays peacefully at his feet while he works from home.  She does love people and especially men.  Zee is housebroken, crate trained and working on leash manners.  She was not walked much previously on a leash but this can be learned easily.  She is smart and quick to learn.  Zee is a combo breed of dogs that can cuddle but not all day.    She would be a great running and hiking partner as she is a dog with lots of stamina and drive.  She plays well with other dogs and is good around the resident cat at the foster home.  If you are interested in this freckled, little munchkin, please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue  ccrnewengland@gmail.com  She is ready to go!!! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 25, 2025, 8:22 am

Alfie is just the sweetest boy who is only 10 months old, weighs 48 pounds and has overcome so much in his young life.  This boy has overcome such a deep shyness with meeting new people and his foster mom has helped him learn confidence and the acceptance of affection from people.   He is a kind and sweet dog that is a medium energy, a kind spirit and good with other creatures in his life.  He is good with cats, dogs and just needs a slow introduction with new people. He loves his walks on the leash in the neighborhood and they have helped him build such a confidence that he never had when he first came to Critter Cavalry Rescue.  He is a Blue Heeler mix and we think he is oh so handsome.  Alfie is going to be a special rescue dog for someone.  Someone with patience and the desire to see a dog blossom every day in to a radiant soul that will make you the center of his universe and love.  If you would like to consider this boy please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 30, 2025, 10:06 pm

Story
Bailey is a great dog, loving, sweet and well-trained. He was 4 on Feb 15. Bailey listens well to commands. He loves to take walks and hikes, but does not need excessive exercise. On rainy days when we cannot get him out for more than a few minutes, he is just fine. On walks, he never gives up trying to get a squirrel - and is friendly with most other dogs (except bulldogs). He will also try to nip at a passing scooter, bike or runner (the herding instinct). He does not go on the furniture in our house and does not usually bark much. He is pretty chill for an Aussie. Bailey does bark at little kids. We suspect on the farm where he was born some kids played with the puppies, and something happened that he became frightened of them. He is getting better with training, but has not been in a room with a small child, so we are not sure how he will react. We moved recently to DC and sadly feel he would be better off with room to run in a fenced yard like we had previously.

Story
Nyeema, or Nya for short, is a 3, soon to be 4, year old Miniature Australian Shepherd. She is a very sweet and affectionate dog. She is housed trained and generally well behaved in confined settings. Unfortunately, she doesn't get along with other dogs, and shows aggression (never biting, just excessive barking) to humans she's doesn't know. However, she gets along well with kids, and pretty much anyone else once she's gained a level of familiarity. While we love and would like to keep Nya, we believe that she would be better on a situation where she is the only dog in the house. Her anxiety seems to trigger our other dog causing him to misbehave. They both are better by themselves, and we feel like everyone, including Nya, is suffering in the current situation. We want to find her a loving home where she can be the only dog, and get the attention she deserves. If that's you, please reach out. Thank you!
