Story
Penny came in as a stray with so many health issues we'd be here all night listing them. We're are so happy to announce she is a thousand times healthier, happier and ready to go to her furever home! She has become quite the favorite around here because she is such an easy and laid back girl! She thrives with routine and picks up on them extremely quickly! Her favorite part of the day is getting to go out with a ton of other dogs in the big backyard and run for about 10 minutes then lay down and sun bathe the rest of the day! She is very dog solid and doesn't have a care in the world with anybody she meets. She can be a bit shy with new people but don't worry, she warms up quick with some back scratches! Even though she loves all the other dogs, her instincts kick in a little too much with cats and she will gladly have the standoff of the decade with them for as long as it takes. She does well in her kennel and when kept on a solid routine she won't potty in it! She also does phenomenal on a leash! Her adoption fee is $275 and this will include her DAPPV booster, deworming, current flea and tick, spay, 1 year Rabies vaccine, heartworm test and a microchip. Please call 618-833-4915 to come meet her! Thank you! Are you interested in adopting this pet? Please click here: https://form.jotform.com/210158338747157 and fill out an application. Email us at: animalcontrol@unioncountyil.gov and make an appointment for a meet and greet! Address: Union County Animal Control, 385 Kaolin Road, Cobden IL 62920.

Story
Maxwell is a 6 year old chihuahua red heeler mix who weighs roughly 16lbs. He is housebroken, doesn’t shed very much and enjoys quiet time on the couch. He’s very intelligent, knows all the basic commands and can learn more extremely quickly. He does not get along well with kids, cats or other dogs, but loves the adults he warms up to very much. Maxwell would be a good addition to a quiet, loving home where he can provide indoor company to someone looking for the leisurely lifestyle.
