Whether you’re looking for a sweetie to snuggle with or an enthusiastic walking buddy…. She’s your girl! Lucy loves the outside, walks well on leash, loves long walks and does well during car rides. She loves people and gets along well with other dogs; however, she shows a lot of curiosity when it comes to smaller prey animals. She is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. So, this lovely girl is ready to find her forever family. Could that be with you? Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support y listens well and is calm when being leashed. She loves to beour rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org. What can I say about this beautiful girl Blue. After being at the shelter for several months waiting for her owner, the owner decided to surrender her. She gets the best grin award for the shelter! This sweet gal loves to go on walks. She likes some dogs but is a little picky. We had such fun taking her pics today! She is a 4 yr old blue heeler mix who weighs 43 lbs. Heartworm positive but Shelter Volunteer Network has a program to pay for her treatment.

We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each.
