Australian Cattle Dog Border Collie

Female, Young
Watertown, SD
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
🐾 Approximately 7–12-month-old Spayed Female Heeler/Aussie Type Mixed Breed approximately 30 pounds. 🐾 She’s done great with other dogs and loves to play. She loves to be in other pups’ faces and give kisses to them. She will back away if the other dog corrects her. 🐾 Pepper has seen cats and showed some interest in playing with them – not sure if she would be rough or not as when she has attempted, the cat hisses and swats and she backs up. At this point in time, we recommend a home without cats until further in-depth evaluation can be done. 🐾 Pepper is a bit shy and unsure when first meeting people, but she so wants people to love her. She is not a fan of loud voices and can be a bit skittish. Once she knows you and trusts you, she does much better. She has done well with kids but forgets she is suppose to sit nicely and not jump. 🐾 Kennel trained and she appears to be house trained– she has not had any accidents in the home since she has adjusted to the schedule. Pepper arrived to rescue saved from the euthanasia list from a local reservation. She is naturally shy at first but warms up with a little time and sweet talking. Once she knows and trusts you, she loves attention. She’s a smart girl and has been working on building confidence and basic manners. She is doing great with her leash skills. She has a medium energy level and enjoys walks and playing with toys. Pepper has been vet checked, is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, spayed, and current on her flea/tick/heartworm/deworming preventatives. Pepper’s adoption donation fee is $300.00
