Story
We found this sweet heeler abandoned on a county road in February, severely underweight. He was meant to be a temporary rescue, but we hoped we could keep him. Unfortunately, we’ve realized we can’t provide the environment he needs long-term. He is incredibly smart and learned sit, stay, place, down, and shake within a week. He’s eager to learn, loves having a job, and would thrive on acreage or with an active owner familiar with working breeds. We and our vet suspect he has a form of polydipsia. He drinks excessive amounts of water, which causes very frequent urination. Despite consistent potty training, he often urinates without warning and may never be a reliable indoor dog. This is a heartbreaking decision, but we want to find him a home that better fits his needs and allows him to succeed.

Story
Hi, I am Piper!!  I am a cattle dog of great behavior in many regards. My brother and I are offered up as a pair because they are very fond of each other and as such they can play independently with each other without concern or monitoring. They are perfectly healthy, about 3 years of age, fixed and get very frequent outings from the house. The often outings are cornerstone to their fine behavior and they would need the same in an adopters home. Living limitations for them would be not in a home of exuberant kids or sharp and loud sounds. Both will be very afraid of fireworks and less so with thunder unless the thunder is very considerable. Piper occasionally digs and Astro very infrequently. They have been around dozens of dogs at the dog park without scuffling incidents, but they both can be wary of some unknown dogs for a bit. They car ride very well and do not bark at strangers with windows open as they wait for my return from fast food dining. They come to me in open field running with a whistle or name call. The field runs let them thoroughly exercise while I make an extended walk. ##1596129##

Story
Saguaro (Male) Saguaro is as sweet as they 🐾 Meet Kenai – The Lovable Goofball Who Thinks He’s an Olympic Bunny! 🐾 If laughter is the best medicine, then Kenai is ready to be your personal prescription! At just 4 months old, Kenai is a medium-sized mixed-breed puppy with a heart as big as his paws. He’s playful, friendly, and has one of the funniest personalities you’ll ever meet. While the other puppies are busy plotting their great escape from the playpen, Kenai… well… he’s usually too busy tripping over his own feet. Despite being the biggest puppy in the bunch, he somehow remains the only one who can’t figure out how to climb out. We like to say his brain is still buffering—but his sweetness more than makes up for it! Kenai doesn’t just run… he hops! Watching him bounce around the backyard like a baby bunny is guaranteed to make you smile. His zoomies often end with an adorable tumble, but he pops right back up like nothing happened. Life is simply one big adventure when you’re Kenai. This happy boy absolutely loves other dogs and spends most of his day wrestling, chasing, and playing with his puppy friends. He’s also doing great with car rides and is learning all the important puppy skills. He’s working on potty training, crate training, and leash walking, and he already knows how to sit like a good boy. Like any puppy, he’s eager to learn and would thrive with a family ready to continue his training. Kenai was picked up by Wichita Falls Animal Services and is now safe with Texas Pit Crew, where he’s waiting for the family who will appreciate his goofy personality and endless happiness. He would love an active home with a yard where he has plenty of room to bounce, play, and perfect his bunny hops. If you’re looking for a puppy who will keep you laughing every single day, Kenai is your guy. He’s sweet, silly, a little clumsy, and completely unforgettable. Sometimes the best dogs aren’t the most graceful—they’re the ones who make life the most fun. Remember before adopting, puppies grow up and still need to be cared for as they grow. Raising a puppy is a BIG responsibility! Adoption fee is $165, which covers three puppy parvo/distemper vaccines, rabies, bordetella, microchip, and spay/neuter. Since Kenai is not yet old enough to be neutered, there is also a $75 refundable sterilization deposit. You will pay $240 at adoption, and $75 will be refunded after his neuter appointment is completed. Ready to add this lovable little goofball to your family? Apply today at: https://www.texaspitcrew.org/adoption-application. He’s gentle, loving, and happiest when he’s snuggled up with his people or littermates. With his calm and affectionate nature, he’s shaping up to be a loyal companion who just wants to love and be loved. All puppies will be up to date on age-appropriate shots, deworming, and vetting through Texas Pit Crew. The $240 adoption fee per puppy helps cover their full vetting (including spay/neuter, microchip, and more). Ready to add one of these cuties to your family?
