Story
Odin is a cute slightly senior fellow who has spent quite a bit of time in and out of adoptive and foster homes. Here’s what we’ve learned:- He is house trained and crate trained- He is great with kids and is gentle and patient with them - He is well- behaved when left home alone- He loves toys and being with his people- He is loving, calm, snuggly and happy“Odin LOVES to snuggle. He is a couch potato and loves to sleep. At night he will sleep snuggled up next to his owners. He absolutely loves attention and any pets he can get. He is so sweet and loves to be around people. He will play fetch with his toys and does not react if you take them from him. He gets so excited at dinner time and jumps around as you bring his food over. He sits and tries to shake when putting his leash on him. Odin would do amazing in a home with a yard with a family who would give him attention. He does fine alone for long periods of time.”Odin has been independent and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit and is looking for a home without small dogs. Ask to meet Odin today!!

Story
Midnight is a little lady who is trying to find a safe place in this big old world. She initially came to the shelter along with her eight puppies from a home with too many pets and poor living conditions. She spent about a month in a foster home with her kiddos- here’s what we learned:- She was house trained and did well when crated - She was a quiet houseguest- She needs time to warm up to new people - She loves stuffed toys and enjoys taking them apart - She loves walks and runs- When she feels safe, she wants to be in your lap and to get cuddlesMidnight’s puppies have all left for their own homes, and Midnight would love to find a place in a quiet home with a patient family who will help her feel safe and secure. Midnight has shared her kennel politely and has been social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’ll likely benefit from a confident doggy pal who can show her the ropes in her future home. Please ask to meet Midnight today!

Story
Lucy is a sweet, sensitive senior who came to PACC with her brother after their person passed away. Understandably a bit uncertain of her new circumstances, Lucy has warmed up to her volunteer friends and loves and appreciates gentle affection. During a brief foster stay Lucy lived with kids and other dogs, mostly ignoring both. She is house trained, loves tasty chew treats, and was described by her foster as friendly and reserved. She’s not fan of being left home alone, so would love to find a family where someone can stay home with her often. Here`s what volunteers at the shelter have said:“Lucy is such an angel. A calm, quiet girl, she has opened up and enjoys her time in the play yard. She stands right next to me and asks politely for pets, leaning into me. After losing her person and her home, she really deserves the love and reassurance of a new family who will give her time adjust.”“This lovely girl is a bit shy and unsure of herself but with slow and gentle interaction, she certainly has a sweet and cooperative attitude. She craves attention and once she gets to know you, she really warms up and is extremely grateful for affection and companionship. She’s easy to leash up and walks calmly on leash.” Lucy has shared her kennel politely during her time at PACC and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Lucy is ready for a retirement filled with gentleness, stability, and love. If you can offer her a peaceful home and the patience she needs to settle in, she’ll reward you with quiet devotion and gratitude. Please ask to meet Lucy today!

Story
`Meet Paloma, a beautiful, happy girl with a huge heart and a zest for life! Her personality shines bright and she absolutely loves to run, jump, and play—whether that means racing around the yard or leaping onto the doghouse roof (or even your car!). She’s a true athlete and would thrive in a home with a yard and lots of room to play. She`s been around children ages 7, 12 and 13 and did great. She is very smart, curious, and shows signs of being a quick learner. She loves to go for walks and is getting better on the leash with each walk. She is house-broken and chew toys help keep her busy. She would do great with someone ready to channel her energy into fun activities or training.Paloma will make a wonderful companion for an active individual or family who’s ready to give her the time, love, and space she deserves. Ready to meet this spirited sweetheart? Paloma is waiting to find her forever home!`

Story
You’ve probably heard the phrase, “sugar, spice, and everything nice” used to describe someone who is sweet, kind, pleasant and good-natured. While this phrase originally came from a nursery rhyme penned in the 1800s, we have an updated reference! We’d love to introduce you little cutie Jumper who embodies this description to a T! Volunteers can’t get enough of this munchkin, sharing:“I took sweet baby Jumper out for a walk today. We enjoyed a walk around the lake as she stopped to smell all the interesting smells. She`s a very SWEET and good girl who enjoyed gentle pets along our way. She`s learning the ropes (literally) of leash walking and she`s doing a great job! She has the most beautiful gray beard and soulful eyes! She also took treats very gently.”“Jumper is SUPER sweet!! I took her to a yard and she approached for pets and affection. She was a bit nervous but was very sweet and accepting of new things. I love her!”Jumper is looking forward to a future home where she will be welcomed indoors and given time and understanding as she learns all of the very important indoor doggy skills! She has shown that she is a whip-smart pup and we know that she will learn all that she needs with a patient family. She came into the shelter not knowing how to walk on a leash, and she picked that up lickety-split! Jumper shares her kennel with another PACC pup and would like to meet any potential furry roommates to ensure a good fit. If “sweet” is the characteristic most important to you in your search for your new furry family member, consider your search over! Come meet Jumper today!

Story
Wrigley and Lucky are bonded sisters who get along great! Lucky is 10 and Wrigley is 8. They are sweet girls who love attention and to be a part of everything you are doing. They are housebroken and they will let you know when someone is at your door. They will bark for a minute or two and will have to make them stop or they will keep going. When you leave, they will bark and howl for about 5 minutes if someone is here and gets them to stop, or for 10-15 minutes of no one is home They will not try to run out of the door when it is opened, and they love car rides. Wrigley will try to be on your lap or passenger seat and Lucky likes to be on the floor of the van. We don't usually crate them, but they have been before and are fine with it. They get along with children of all ages and Lucky is fine with other dogs. Wrigley does not get along well with other dogs, especially if there is a treat or rawhide she is trying to hide and save. Wrigley seems to go after the female dog primarily, but has also had issues with the male dog at times. Both girls sleep on the bed with you, if you put Lucky on there as she cannot jump the height of the bed (but can on the couch). Lucky has a collapsing trachea that she takes medicine for it every 8 hours and does well on them, but late at night when she is super relaxed, she has to cough or hack up loudly for a few minutes and a few times and then is fine. She also has to take heart medication 2 times a day. We are trying to walk her to get the weight down now that is is getting cooler. Wrigley is 16/17 lbs and Lucky is around 30 but could definitely stand to lose weight. Lucky likes to go into small trash cans and pull out anything she can eat and rip apart, and they both will try to get your food if you let them and have stolen snacks from the kids before when left out. They will wait patiently for anything you want to give them to eat after you are finished and are grateful for it. They love to chew treats, dog toys, and regular treats.. They eat Purina True Instinct dog food and just graze throughout the day. Wrigley is very vocal and will let you know how she is feeling at any time and is adorable how she 'talks' and howls when excited and will go in circles and snort when you get her really going. She loves belly rubs and needs constant reassurance that she is a good girl and is wanted and will stick to you like glue anytime you sit down or lay down They would make great companions to someone who has the time for them and they have so much love to give. They are the sweetest girls and have been so fun to have around. They are used to a high energy and full kid house half the time and a quiet and solo napping house the rest of the time and love both. There is no digging outside, or chewing on any furniture or kid toys, just their stuff and sometimes the trash if they can get to it. Wrigley has never had a litter, but has a motherly instinct and will sometimes protect a toy like it's her baby and will growl if any other dog comes near it and try to intimidate them. Wrigley was spayed in the rescue and Lucky was already spayed (previously) and both are current on vaccines. Story
Koda Koda is 5 years old. He was born on 7/19/2020. He is neutered and AKC certified. Koda is a very smart boy and is trainable. He barks and lets you know something is amiss. Koda is a chewer and he will chew and eat anything (Really anything). I have a cot bed for him because anything soft with cotton he will chew through, toys included. Koda is house trained and prefers to be indoors. He does well with chickens but loves those chicken eggs. He needs a family home where he will be given lots of attention and love. He would do best being the only male dog.
