Story
Leslie is energetic young girl who spent two weeks in a foster home. She did well with kids and other resident dogs and was both crate trained and housebroken. She’s still very much a pup and is working hard on all her big girl skills! Leslie loves to chase tennis balls and chew on bones, and her foster described her as playful and friendly. Leslie is also a field trip favorite who recently took a trip to Mt. Lemmon. She loves to play in the water and show off her sweet, loving personality. Leslie shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet Leslie today!!

Story
Meet Ezee.  He's 3 years old and 45 lbs. Crate trained, house broken, and an exuberant, happy young man. Plus, he's super good looking! Check out those Scharpei ears and that long-legged strong body!  He's also a gorgeous dark brown--in the sun he's positively glorious! We were told he likes all dogs, and he's proven that to be a fact, he even gets along with little Pixie who is apt to give him a snap if he comes too close to her. He obeys dogs he knows have been here longer, and tries to follow their lead. He loves to chase a ball, but will hold it in his mouth and won't drop it so I can throw it again--yet. His notes also said he was leery of new people. He came home and ran into the back yard. He saw me sit down on the patio swing and came right over, jumped up and cuddled into my side! Maybe he just likes old people?? He's obedient, needs a few directions, but I'm very pleased with how quickly he learns and remembers. Those very long legs  can reach the table or counter. You’ll learn to push stuff back out of the way!  He sleeps peacefully through the night in his crate. I don't remember when a new dog was so quickly integrated into our pack. He will definitely need one or more dogs as friends,  and a secure, tall fence around the yard!   Ezee's adoption fee is $250, with an additional $21 PACC license fee. He is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina and Sahuarita only. If you would like more information on Ezee, please fill out an adoption application at www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com or email info@tucsoncoldwetnoses.com  *Applications to adopt: wwwTucsonColdWetNoses.com Home Visit / ID and Residence Verification is required.  Compliance does not imply or guarantee adoption.   Approval is the sole discretion of CWN representative(s). Story
Latte is a special young dog in search of a special home. He’s a graduate of PACC’s decompression program for shy and fearful dogs and needs a family who understands that he’ll need extra time to feel safe in a new home. Latte has been taken care of by a dedicated group of volunteers that focus on our most fearful pups, and those volunteers are deeply committed to seeing Latte succeed. However, the shelter environment only allows for so much growth, and Latte really needs to continue his journey in a savvy and committed home now. Here’s what a few of Latte’s friends have had to say:“Latte has been continuing to make good progress. He has accepted an occasional walker he didn`t know before, allows her to leash him without trouble, and allows her to touch, scratch and rub him in the field. He was calm and comfortable with her on the way back the last time. With me he is relaxed and happy to see me, leashes easily, is bright and interactive on walks, and shows little fear of things going on around us. I believe he will do well in a patient home.”“Today Latte was the best he has been for me. I had planned on walking Latte and his kennelmate separately, but Latte came to the door and seemed to want to come along. I leashed him and we went to the yard. When I was in the yard Latte stood next to me and took treats from my hand several times. I then got up and just started walking around the yard and he followed behind me and sometimes would walk next to me.”“Excellent session with Latte- he seemed more companionable that usual. Leashed easily and was a happy walker with his kennelmate. They really like one another. For the first time I was able to touch, scratch and pet Latte at sitdown- a big step for him. We all then went on around the big lake and had a nice second sitdown where I was also able to pet him again. Love how he`s progressing.”“Latte`s holdout issue has been touch and he is progressing. A team member who sees him only once a week remarked yesterday how much better he was, and today I was able to give extended touch and cheek/neck/ear scratches in the field, even loose leash, when he has never tolerated touch in the field at all before.”As you can see, Latte is not a dog who will plug seamlessly into any home and be an instant snugglebug. But, he has learned to trust and has a wonderful future in the right home with a family who understands him. Latte shares his kennel with a pal who he loves and takes comfort

Story
Oh, Milo. This sweet boy has had quite a go of things. He was hit by a car back in April and was severely injured. He was picked up by one of our Animal Protection Officers who brought him to the shelter to save his life. Milo is lucky to have lived- he had significant wounds on his hindlimbs as well as fractures to his pelvis. At first, he wasn`t able to walk, so volunteers moved him around the shelter in a little wagon. In the time since, he has healed SO much!!Here`s the thing about Milo - through ALL of this pain and struggle, Milo has been the SWEETEST, most patient boy. He loves being around our staff and volunteers and is so easy and cooperative. He loves kisses, cuddles, and squishy snacks like peanut butter! But even more than those things, he’ll absolutely love YOU!Milo spent some time in a foster home where he did well with another resident dog, was housebroken, and slept in his own crate at night. Here’s what his foster said:“Milo is a big goofy teenager who would do great with another active dog. He likes chasing the ball and learning new skills. He is also a velcro dog…likes to be next to you on the couch, at your feet in the kitchen, etc. He is very playful and likes his ears rubbed. He’s a great dog!”Here`s what else we learned about Milo in his foster home:- He loves to chase a tennis ball- He enjoys learning new skills- He likes watching TV- He loves to snuggle- He does great in the carAnd here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:“I had a good walk with Milo this week and he was well behaved as always. Leashing up was easy, he did not take notice of other dogs, and he was polite on leash without pulling. Good job buddy!”Now that Milo is quite literally back on his feet, he’s ready to find a family of his own. When meeting other dogs in playgroup at the shelter, Milo has been playful and easygoing. Please ask to meet Milo today!!
