Story
Louie is an adorable 40-pound Australian Kelpie mix with a happy personality and a sharp mind to match! This handsome boy is currently thriving in foster care and has proven himself to be a wonderful house dog. Louie is potty trained, quickly mastered the doggy door, gets along well with other dogs, and does great when left home alone during the day. True to his Kelpie roots, he loves to run, play, and zoom around the yard, but once he's burned off some energy, he's more than happy to settle in for snuggles with his foster mom. Smart, affectionate, and eager to please, Louie learns quickly and enjoys being part of the family. He's looking for a home that will give him the exercise, companionship, and love he deserves. In return, you'll gain a loyal best friend who will always be ready for an adventure or a cuddle. Apply to adopt Louie at HeberSpringsHumaneSociety.com Louie’s adoption fee is $125 and includes first vaccinations, worming, microchip, and sterilization. We have a dog park to check compatibility with possible sibling dogs. Please fill out an adoption application at HeberSpringsHumaneSociety.com and a volunteer will contact you 2-3 days. The Adoption application is NOT on Adopt a Pet and must be completed on the Heber Springs Humane Society website.

Story
Hello there! My name is Winnie! Let me share a little about my journey. I came into the rescue after a very scary situation. One day, while at the vet, a rescue person overheard a surgeon talking about someone planning to take me to the shelter to be put to sleep because of my leg injury. Thankfully, they decided to step in and offered to take me instead. I had to have my leg amputated, and within just 24 hours, I was already learning to walk on three legs! I’m incredibly thankful for this new life and the chance to find a loving home. I might not want to talk about how the accident happened because it was pretty traumatic, but I’m focused on the bright future ahead! As for me, I’m a big cuddler who loves getting close to my favorite humans. You’ll often see me with my front half on the sofa and my back half still on the floor, just because of my missing leg. I enjoy rough play with my furry friends, but my heart truly belongs to my person. I adore spending time with my foster mom. Now, when it comes to going for walks, I have a little quirk about the leash. You might find me laying flat when you try to put it on, but after a couple of gentle tugs, I’ll cooperate and be ready for our adventure! I’m kennel trained and you will notice that I rarely bark—mostly only when my canine foster siblings are getting vocal. I sometimes have my clumsy moments, especially on hard floors where I might face plant! Going down stairs can be quite the adventure for me; it’s more like a controlled crash, but I make the trip because I want to be right by your side. Being a young male, I’ve tried to hike my leg to mark my territory, but I’m learning to use my left side since I don’t have my right front leg anymore. You can see me trying to use my missing leg when I’m active—I'm determined! Oh, and I absolutely never complain about anything, except maybe when I hear everyone else barking because they want out of their crates when our foster mom has been away. I hope we get to meet soon! Story
Hi there! My name is Fancy — because I’m the daintier, more petite version of my brother, Tubby. My mom is only 46 lbs, so she is a pretty small dog herself, and I don’t think I’m going to get very big either. My mama had me and my brother, Tubby, in an empty lot. It was a little scary out there sometimes, but we were very lucky because a kind lady kept bringing us food and water and checking on us all the time. One day, another lady showed up while we were trying to eat, and suddenly we got trapped! At first, we thought it was really scary and didn’t know if she was nice or not. But later we learned she was actually helping us get safe along with our mama. Now I’m ready for the good life — belly rubs, toys, naps, and lots of love. I’ve got a brother named Tubby, but since I’m the fancy little lady of the family, I like to think I bring the charm. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, loving puppy to add to your family, I would LOVE to be your new best friend. Hope you will ask to meet me! Love, Fancy 🐾

Story
Meet Jasmine! She is a 2 year old Australian cattle dog/Australian shepherd/lab mix female with a natural docked tail. Her DNA test results are included in her pictures. She currently weighs 55 pounds. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Her foster mom says she is a very sweet girl and is a great cuddler. She loves toys and is very playful. She enjoys being outside, exploring and looking for squirrels to chase! Jasmine does have a high prey drive so a home without cats/small animals is recommended. Jasmine is crate trained and house trained. She walks well on a leash, knows sit, has a great recall and is good in the car. She is very shy with new people. She’s a little shy meeting new dogs but warms up quickly with proper introductions. She enjoys playing with her foster mom’s grand dog. They are best buddies.

Story
Adopted Daisy about a year ago and have had no issue with her at all. Great with other dogs and great with kids. She is house trained and very smart, she knew how to open her kennel by herself so we had to make sure we have a locking system on ours. She is a big ole lap dog that likes to cuddle and play. Will go to the door when she needs to be let out and does well in car rides.
