Meet Foxy 6887 Foxy showed her appreciation of her bark park outing as she dashed about with oodles of joyful energy. Her favorite toy was a soft lavender squeaky that she brought up to the human hoping to get a chance for another toss and retrieve. It was a request that couldn’t be refused. Foxy showed off her desire to get close to the human as she draped her arms over the leg of the Humane Society volunteer. Foxy shared a big from-the-heart smile and clasped her paws together as though she was giving thanks for the occasion. Foxy loves a caring touch and is definitely a lap dog in training. 1-year-old Foxy walks nicely on leash, takes treats respectfully and will come running to you when called and will arrive with a “this is a lot of fun” ecstatic smile. Foxy is a friendly, cheerful canine who wants to share endless hugs.

Story
Lily was adopted from our local animal control, 4 years ago as a stray and has adjusted well to being a house dog. She is extremely sweet and an amazing dog. She is great with dogs her size or smaller, but can be over-submissive and is sometimes bullied. She does great with kids of all ages, and enjoys running around with them outside or sitting with them as they read and relax. You will often find her sitting at one of her people’s feet while they work or walking around the house seeing what everyone is doing. She loves to explore outside and go for walks or jogs. Lily knows most basic commands, and is food motivated. She enjoys routine and schedule, but will adapt quickly to changes and enjoys the occasional trip to dog daycare. She will be your best friend and closest ally, and will love to join your pack.

This Handsome and hale boy is Nanook! Nanook is a Labrador Retriever and Australian Kelpie mix born August 1st of 2022. He is not as tall as a full-size Lab because of his mix and being on the shorter side like his mom, he however is stocky...Nanook Currently weighs about 55Lbs. He is such a sweet handsome bear. His foster mom is currently teaching him to play ball, but he doesn't get the concept of bringing it back yet. LOL.... Nanook is also a talker (Not to be confused with barker) He makes noises when trying to get your attention and while playing! He would do well in the country or on a farm, he does not need a fenced yard, he sticks around. Nanook just wants to be someone's best buddy. He will make a perfect best friend. Nanook is Neutered, Vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, on heartworm prevention and micro-chipped. $50 rescue adoption fee applies. Story
This is Tilly (Chantilly), She is about a 2yo heeler mix. We adopted her from our local shelter in December, and she did well for about a month before we started having significant issues with one of our other dogs. She is very energetic and active, and would do well with someone who is very active (runner or cyclist) or who can otherwise give her a good outlet. Her best situation for now would probably be as an only dog, or with only dogs around her own age and size. I would recommend no other small animals or any reactive animals. Not sure about cats, since we dont have one, but she seems a bit too uncomfortably interested in our rabbit... Tilly is very gentle with treats, and overall great with humans, including kids. But, she would probably do better without small kids, because she does need ongoing training not to jump. She seems to have a certain amount of general anxiety. We are working on calming techniques, and she will do best in a calm home.
