Story
Scherzer is almost four years old and we have had him since he was a puppy. Unfortunately, we have been unsuccessful in getting him potty trained. We have two other dogs that we potty trained with no problem so we are completely stumped on why Scherzer still has accidents. I had him checked for a UTI awhile ago and the vet said there was nothing medically wrong with him. Within the last year he has also become extremely anxious. We used to take him to the dog beach but the last time we went, he wouldn't let anyone near us without barking and he got into a minor fight with another dog over a toy. Luckily nobody was hurt. Now we have a baby and I don’t want to have to worry about her crawling into a puddle of pee. I’m hoping that there is someone out there that is willing to work with him and give him a good home. He is very sweet and likes to cuddle.

"I'm Scotty. I am very pleased to meet you. I'm a very curious and smart boy, or so I'm told. My foster also brags about how I'm 'the perfect size' at about 40 lbs. I was found wandering the streets, but I still know how to use the bathroom outside. It may take me a few days to figure out what you humans consider outside, but I catch on quickly. I like to lay around with something to nib on and watch tv. I haven't met another animal I dont get along with, but I really just want belly rubs and head scratches. I give lots of kisses! I like walking on a leash and don't pull at all. I hope you'll come to meet me and let me show you my squirrel. " Because my previous owner never kept me on heartworm prevention, and I was kept outside I now have to be treated for heartworm. I am a young dog and the treatment will last three months and I will be fine when it is over..The rescue will pay for all of my care. You just bring the love! I can be fostered by you until I am finished! WANT TO MEET THIS DOG? Please read the guidelines below provided by the rescue before you apply!! If you are interested in adopting you must be available and open to a home check, provide vet references (proof that you keep your other pets up to date on all shots, prevention meds and yearly wellness checks, and that other pets in home are neutered or spayed) The adoption fee for this dog is $250.
