Maxine is a sweet, petite little lady. She is estimated to be between 10 and 12 years old. She's 37 pounds and a complete sweetheart. Maxine was found as a stray and brought to our county shelter. No one came looking for her. Maxine has clearly had untreated skin issues on her back for quite some time, leaving her with rough skin and little hair. It's unknown if her hair will grow back, but it's possible with time and proper care and nutrition. Maxine is a very sweet and friendly girl. She's great with other dogs and all people. Cats are unknown. Maxine is such a happy go lucky girl. She loves to cuddle in bed or the couch, chew bones and she can be pretty frisky and cute.   Muffin (A329799) - 4 Yrs - Spayed Female Heartworm Postive:03/25/2024 04/10/24 15:02 Muffin is white Australian Kelpie type dog. She is thought to be 4. Muffin is heartworm positive. Muffin will need more attentive care as she is very fearful with people. Muffin was seen roaming around an area for more than a year. She was trapped and brought in to MCAS on 3/19/24. Muffin currently has a URI and is not eating well. She will only eat at night after everyone leaves. Muffin has very high levels of fear, anxiety, and stress. She will not walk on leash but is able to be carried. Muffin needs to be in a calmer environment to help her recover and build confidence with new people. Mystic is believed to 3 years old (might be younger) , Australian Kelpie- She is only 36LBS- She was in a shelter and was going to be euthanized because she was so scared she was shaking and refused to walk. She is now in home with 2 cats and is doing great. Mystic is a very sweet and affectionate girl. This is what her foster Mom has to say about Mystic Mystic has been such a joy to have in our home. She’s extremely gentle with our cats, is fully potty trained, and responds very well to corrections. She is such a calm, sweet, and loving dog.
