Sheina (DOB 5/18/24) is such a stunning girl! We are guessing shes a Kelpie/German Shepherd mix and she is so smart! Sheina is around 50lbs. She is dog friendly, cats unknown. Sheina is hoping to having a home with a privacy fence so she can run around enjoying the world. She also needs a home with kids over the age of 12. Sheina can be a little skittish, so she’d need a family who is patient and will give her time to show what an amazing companion she can be! Overall, Sheina is eager to learn and be the very very best girl. Sheina promises to be your best friend and who could resist those amazing perky ears. Story
Marigold comes to us from San Antonio TX with 4 other siblings. She is the baby of the group a quiet little soul who's been easy to overlook, but is slowly starting to show us there's more to her story. Shes often been the most disengaged of the five, but it may simply be because her more confident siblings tend to take the spotlight. She looks to Magnolia for guidance and comfort, following her lead in new situations. And as Magnolia has started to grow more confident, we've seen Marigold begin to blossom too. Its those small, connected steps that are so special watching her build courage through the trust she places in her friend. Marigold has started coming to the front of her kennel and venturing outside during playgroups instead of staying tucked away inside. Shes interacting more with the environment and observing the world around her, slowly finding her footing. She does allow handling, but because she tends to let others take the lead, she can still be a bit of a challenge to actively engage with. She isn't very treat-motivated though, to be fair, her packmates are usually quicker to snatch them up first! Marigold is: Dog-friendly and gains confidence from her companions Gentle, observant, and quietly progressing Beginning to explore more of her surroundings Independent in her own subtle way, just at her own pace Marigold will thrive in a patient home that understands shy dogs and will celebrate the small wins. A calm, confident dog friend especially one she can bond with will help her continue to grow. She may not demand attention, but Marigold is quietly searching for someone who will see her, believe in her, and give her the chance to bloom. Marigold and the littermates will be in Elgin, IL the second week of July. These dogs didn't have the opportunity to experience much of the world before coming into rescue, so they are under-socialized and lacking confidence. With patience, love and gentle guidance, we believe they will continue to make incredible progress.

Story
Mingo is the charming, scruffy boy of the group from a Texas kill shelter with big ears and wiry hair that give him an irresistibly unique look. He's the third most social of his pack, and with every interaction, you can see his confidence growing. Coming from a background with very little human contact, Mingo is learning step by step that people can be kind and safe. The progress hes made has been so encouraging, especially with the help of a trusted female handler. Through her guidance and participation in playgroups, Mingo has started to truly come out of his shell. He now regularly leaves his kennel to explore the yard, investigate new things, and spend time playing with other dogs. Even better, hes begun greeting us when we approach a huge milestone for a shy pup like him! While handling is still a bit of a challenge, hes clearly on a positive path and gaining confidence with each session. Mingo is: Dog-friendly and enjoys playgroups Slowly building confidence with each interaction Especially responsive to female handlers Curious, improving, and eager to explore Mingo will need a patient, understanding home that can continue helping him feel safe and secure. A friendly dog companion and a calm environment will go a long way in helping him keep progressing. With time, encouragement, and love, Mingo is going to be an incredible companion. Mingo and the littermates will be in Elgin, IL the second week of July. These dogs didn't have the opportunity to experience much of the world before coming into rescue, so they are under-socialized and lacking confidence. With patience, love and gentle guidance, we believe they will continue to make incredible progress.

Story
Meadow is the heart of her little pack -a gentle ringleader who shows the others what bravery looks like, one small step at a time. She and four other young dogs came from a property in San Antonio where they had almost no human interaction. The only person they knew was an elderly man who would step outside to leave food and water. Because of that, Meadow is still learning what it means to feel safe with people. Despite her shyness, Meadow is the most social of the group and the first to approach. Shell come up to the kennel, sniff your hand, and especially if you have treats she will gather the courage to get a little closer. Shes treat-motivated and will gently take them from you, which is a big step forward for a pup who's still figuring out trust. Right now, touch can still feel scary to her, but shes curious and willing and that's everything. With patience, kindness, and a calm home (bonus points for a confident dog friend!), Meadow has so much potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. Meadow is: Dog-friendly Curious and quietly brave Treat-motivated Learning to trust, one step at a time She deserves a chance at a new life, one where shes not just surviving, but truly loved. If you have a gentle heart and the patience to let her come out of her shell, Meadow will reward you with the kind of bond that only comes from giving a shy dog a second chance. Ready to help Meadow bloom? Reach out to meet her. Meadow and the littermates will be in Elgin, IL the second week of July.

Story
Meet Magnolia Magnolia is a soft, sensitive soul with a gentle spirit and quiet mom energy. She has a beautiful cattle dog look and a heart thats still learning how to feel safe in the world. Out of her group, Magnolia is the most fearful and tends to hang back, often retreating to a corner where shell try to make herself small or may tremble when overwhelmed. Human touch is still very scary for her right now, and she can shut down during handling but this isn't who she is, its just what shes learned. Even so, there are small, hopeful glimmers of who Magnolia can become. She will lean in to sniff treats, though shes still unsure about taking them. She shows a clear preference for female handlers and seems to find comfort in their presence. And most importantly she truly comes alive around other dogs. In playgroups, Magnolia relaxes, explores, and begins to show a spark of confidence. She interacts beautifully with other dogs and gains bravery by following their lead. Watching her step out of her kennel with her canine friends is where you really start to see her potential. Magnolia is: Dog-friendly and thrives with canine companions Gentle, sensitive, and in need of patience Beginning to build confidence in safe environments Most comfortable with calm, understanding female handlers Magnolia will need a very patient, understanding home, one that will give her the time and space to move at her own pace. A confident, friendly dog in the home will be key to helping her blossom. She may be the shyest of the group, but with love, compassion, and time, Magnolia has the potential to grow into something truly beautiful. If you believe in quiet transformations and giving the most fragile souls a chance, Magnolia is waiting for you. Magnolia and the littermates will be in Elgin, IL the second week of July. These dogs didn't have the opportunity to experience much of the world before coming into rescue, so they are under-socialized and lacking confidence.
