This is the story of Sara, she will be 2 in May of 2024. She went through 7 different homes before I got her. She is very energetic & likes to run. I'm looking for a home with a fenced in yard she needs room to run, she loves to play ball & she is a herding dog. She thinks she is a lap dog. Affectionate, playful, smart & quick learner. She does sometimes do tricks as in "paw" & she does sit.

It is baffling, but Tut has been waiting for his home for too long. Tut is a handsome 1-year, 5-month-old Cattle Dog mix, who loves people and other dogs. He weighs about 65 pounds. Tut would probably chase a cat, and he can be a little rough with stuffed toys, but other than that, friendly Tut would be a great addition to an active household. He is more gentle with smaller dogs and lets the other dog he is playing with decide the level of play. His sister Christy got adopted to first-time dog owners, and she is doing great. Tut is hoping that he can find his forever family - and soon! If you are interested in meeting Tut, please go to the HSOC website and fill out an application.

Meet SHERLOCK-Paws Behind Bars Trained SHERLOCK is a 1-year-old male, Aussie? mix who weighs 40 lbs. We feel he is very close to his mature weight. We are guessing at his breed mix only because of his beautiful merle coat and his energy level. This guy is very friendly and very active. SHERLOCK is very outgoing, and he's good with other dogs. He came to us from a local shelter where he was picked up as a stray. More than likely, someone got him as a puppy and then was not able to provide the proper amount of exercise. Thanks to our volunteers, he'll get to go on long walks so we can get an idea of when he throttles it back a bit. His perfect family should be active. A good fenced in yard and another young dog to play with are also desired. IMPORTANT: Please Keep in mind both the age and life expectancy of Sherlock. Our guiding principle for adoptions is to seek the right fit for our rescues and the families, including a home that can stay committed to the animal for life.
