APOLLO is a 43 lb Cattle Dog mix who was found as a stray by our volunteer, He was returned to his owner and then surrendered back to us because the owner realized the best thing for the dog was to find a better home. So, that's how we got this handsome boy. He is a 5-year-old male, and he's a great dog! Because we don't know a lot about his background, he participated in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. He already has a nice energy level and walks well on a leash but a little obedience training goes along way. He graduated with honors and certainly enjoyed the 24/7 companionship of his inmate handler. Apollo's best home will be with an owner who has time to spend with him and enjoys walking. Apollo is fine with other dogs - but only at a distance. He's the kind of dog that will only share space with his human. He's incredibly loyal.
