Story
Hey there, I’m Rocky! I’m a 2-year-old Kelpie Shepherd mix with a handsome black coat and a big personality to match. I’m an active, intelligent guy who loves having a job to do—whether that’s going on hikes, chasing toys, or learning cool new tricks. I’m happiest when I’m spending time with my people and being part of the action. I’m loyal, loving, and always ready to be your sidekick through every adventure. I’ve got lots of energy, but I also have a sweet side and enjoy attention, belly rubs, and hanging out with my favorite humans after a fun day. With my smart Shepherd and Kelpie genes, I’d thrive with a family that can keep me mentally and physically engaged. If you’re looking for a fun, devoted best friend who will keep you smiling and always be by your side, I’m your guy. Come meet me and let’s start our next adventure together! I am currently part of the Direct to Adopt Program in Austin, TX. With a committed adopter or foster, I can be transported to The Shelter Pet Adoption Center inside Petco, located at 10017 Biddick Lane, Huntersville, NC 28078 on May 28th, 2026. If you’d like more information about me or want to talk about fostering or adopting, please reach out to my team by Email: NCteam@austinpetsalive.org or call: (704) 266-3647

Story
Contact foster at: jaacostar12@gmail.comOfficially retired from chaos, Smoky is now focused on naps, snacks, and evening strolls. At 9 years old, he’s the perfect mix of laid-back and adventurous — always happy to sleep in late, curl up on the bed, or head out for a peaceful walk.Smoky is happiest as your one-and-only and would do best as the only pet in the home. He’s fully potty-trained, nondestructive when left alone, affectionate, attentive, and an all-around friendly gentleman. He knows commands like “sit,” “shake,” “stay,” and “down,” and because he’s very treat-motivated, he enjoys learning and working with his people.Liking a quieter pace, he settles in nicely at home and thrives with his humans as their loyal companion. Smoky has waited long enough. Now it’s time that he finds his perfect family.-affectionate, friendly, adventurous-medium energy-plenty of pep in his step in his golden years-house-trained-quiet + polite gentlemen-fantastic car-rider!-knows commands like sit, stay, shake, and down-treat motivated + takes them very politely-self-entertains with durable toys-happiest on the bed snoozing or curled up beside you-nondestructive when left out on his own-fan of fetch, he’ll even bring you the ball back!-friendly and social with kids he’s met on walks + would be best suited for older kids -wants to be your one and only (no other pets, please!)-tolerant of handling and bathtime-might be excited and strong on leash at first, but settles into walks nicely-loves the water, swimming, and exploring!

Story
Chip came to me and my family through an adoption service. He was apart of a litter of puppies and the owner couldn't keep all of them. The day I saw him on Petfinder.com as a puppy, I fell in love with him. He is 10 years old but still very energetic. He loves to play fetch in the backyard and his toys in the house. He loves kids because they love to play. I am looking for someone who will give him lots of love and attention. He is fun, and extremely smart.

Story
Meet Milton. He is a dignified gentleman with plenty of spunk. His favorite things to do are to take long walks and play with toys (he usually entertains himself with his toys). He can also be a great companion, snuggling up on the couch together while watching TV or reading a book. Don't let the age full you. Milton has plenty of life left and would be a wonderful companion. You'll fall quickly and madly in love with this guy. Milton had a dental in July, 2025. Milton is neutered and current on his vaccines. Breed(s) are strictly an educated guess, as well as his age. He came to us as a stray. Once you meet Milton, neither of those things will matter. DOB: ~1/19/15 Milton is neutered and current on his vaccines. If you're interested in meeting Milton, please fill out an adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/MFAR/42224-mfar-adoption-application

Story
**This is a courtesy post. This animal is not at Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue. Please do not contact the rescue regarding this animal. Contact information is listed below. This is Nora, she is around 8 months old and weighs about 45 pounds. We think she is a Kelpie and Lab mix. She was originally taken in as a stray when she was only a few weeks old. She is great with cats and other dogs, but still has a lot of her puppy energy. She is highly treat and food motivated, which has definitely helped with her training. She is mostly housetrained but still has a few accidents inside. On 3-10-26 she was spayed and received a 1-year rabies vaccine, a 3-year distemper/parvo vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, a negative fecal test, a nail trim, a negative heartworm test, and a 12-month Proheart Injection. Text (828)305-5937 if interested in her.
