Contact foster at: jaacostar12@gmail.comSmoky is a perfect gentleman. He knows how to sit, shake hands and lay down on command. He communicates his needs by walking to his leash and harness or when he wants to join you on the couch. He`s a perfect adventure buddy that loves hikes, playing in the water or simply being in the car while you go on errands. He`s potty trained as well and doesn`t unnecessarily bark when he`s inside. His favorite things are walks, playing tug of war and running across the apartment playing fetch with his chew bone.More about Smoky:-Good on leash, can be strong at first-Enjoys playing with tennis balls-Quiet and polite gentleman -Potty trained-Gorgeous brown eyes and beautiful gray/black coat-Better interactions with female dogs-Needs to be the only dog in the home*-Slept through the night-Fetches, but mostly plays `keep away`-Took a bath, didn`t love it but was patient-Actually likes to play in water-Sweet, patient, fun-Minds his manners-Likes car rides-Spooked at sudden sounds, makes a few alarm barks, but not excessive-Likes to stay around you-Grabby with toys, not aggressive, just fast and mouthy...may be best without small children-Interested in anything

Story
Meet Brownie! Brownie is a 3-year-old Australian Kelpie boy with the biggest smile and an even bigger heart. Weighing 40 lbs, he’s the perfect medium size — sturdy enough for adventures, but compact enough to fit right into your home and lap (because yes, he would happily try!). Brownie is truly a happy, happy boy. His wonderful smile says it all — he wakes up ready to enjoy life and share his joy with everyone around him. He absolutely loves people and thrives on attention, affection, and being part of the action. If your home already has a playful pup, even better! Brownie loves to play with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine companion to romp around with. He enjoys staying active and would make a fantastic partner for walks, yard playtime, or any fun activity you have in mind. The best part? Brownie is both crate trained and house trained, so he’s ready to settle into his new home with great manners already in place. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, smiling best friend who will bring energy and happiness into your life every single day, Brownie is your boy! If you are interested in adopting Brownie, please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a socially distanced meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.*** March 7, 2026, 10:27 pm

Story
Out on a quiet country road in rural Tennessee, a tiny red dog stood guard over her six fragile, four-week-old puppies. Dumped without care and left to face the unthinkable, this brave little momma did the only thing she knew to do — she protected her babies with everything she had.   That beautiful girl is Red Sedona.   By what can only be described as a miracle, a kind passerby spotted the small family huddled together and stopped. Carefully lifting them into the truck, momma and babies rode to safety on the floorboard, leaving behind a fate that could have ended so differently. Because of that moment of compassion, Red Sedona and her six puppies were given a second chance.   At just 25 pounds, Red Sedona is a petite Red Heeler with a delicate frame and the most soulful eyes. She may be small, but her heart is mighty. She fiercely protected her puppies on that roadside, somehow keeping them safe from harm. And now, with her babies out of danger, her gentle and affectionate nature is shining through. She is one of the sweetest little girls you could ever meet — tender, devoted, and incredibly smart.   Sedona has been a remarkable mother, attentive and loving, always watching over her babies as if she would step in front of anything to keep them safe. She is good with other dogs, young, and ready to start the next chapter of her life. Once her milk has dried up a bit more, she will be spayed and ready for her forever home around March 10th.   Her six puppies — four boys and two girls — will also be ready for loving homes soon. This little family deserves Heeler-savvy homes that understand the loyalty, intelligence, and devotion this breed is known for.   Red Sedona has done her job. She saved her babies. Now it’s her turn to be cherished, protected, and loved for the rest of her life.   If you feel called to welcome Momma Red Sedona or one of her precious puppies into your home, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   Let’s make sure this brave little girl’s story ends the way it should — safe, loved, and finally home.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Margot is a beautiful and charming Aussie mix puppy that was born December 4th to a large litter of 11 siblings. All were cared well by their momma dog and Margot is one of 7 girls and 4 boys who are remarkable puppies with kind souls and good and loving hearts.  Margot has one of those personalities that makes her excited about life and every adventure she can go on.  This girl and her litter were broken in to little groups that would allow each of them to have some real one on one time with a foster.  Margot is in with 3 other siblings in this foursome she is the RINGLEADER.  She keeps the antics going and the laughter resonating in the foster home as the humans watch these puppies play.  Margot loves to steal her siblings toys and generally taunt them.  She is smart and witty and full of crazy ideas to make life 'exciting'.  She would be so well suited with a family that has children who wants a fearless and smart little puppy who has great confidence and personality that goes for miles and miles. Some of her favorite games are tug of war and playing fetch.  Fetch can be so much fun and great exercise for her young and playful mind and body.  A tired puppy is a GOOD PUPPY!  She would truly love to have another dog to play with when her humans are too busy.  Margot is destined to be a soft, long furred beautiful with some amazing eyes and soft features.  When fully grown we predict this beautiful black  girl will most probably be 40-45 pounds.  If you are ready to give her a fenced yard, another companion dog, an active and vibrant family life with good citizens training time and maybe a few children sprinkled in for great fun then email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Mention where you live please.  We are based and fostered in Tennessee but we also have a transport van that goes to the northeast and our dogs and puppies can travel every weekend to new families that are outside of Tennessee.  We welcome local adopters as well.

Story
Meet Marielle — the quiet spark with the soulful eyes and the heart just waiting to shine. Born on December 4th, this stunning Aussie mix girl is the perfect blend of softness and spirit. At first glance, you’ll notice her gentle, observant nature. She’s the kind of puppy who studies you carefully, tilts her head just slightly, and takes a moment to decide if you’re “her person.” But once she does? Game over. You belong to her forever.  Marielle isn’t the life-of-the-party puppy crashing through the room — she’s the one who forms deep, meaningful bonds. She thrives in a home where love is steady and predictable. A loud, chaotic household with lots of tiny, fast-moving humans may feel overwhelming to her sensitive soul. But a family with a couple of older, kind-hearted kids who understand patience? That would be her sweet spot. In her foster home, Marielle enjoys the company of other dogs and clearly gains confidence from them. A friendly canine sibling could be the perfect role model and built-in best friend. She hasn’t met cats yet, but her calm, thoughtful personality suggests she would likely adapt just fine with slow introductions and guidance. When fully grown, Marielle should be around 40 pounds — a wonderful medium size that’s big enough for outdoor adventures and small enough to curl up in your lap when she thinks you’re not looking. And trust us, she will try to curl up in your lap. This precious girl doesn’t need the whole world. She just needs her world — a patient heart, a cozy spot to land, and someone willing to see the beauty in a shy beginning. Give her that, and you’ll watch her blossom into the most loyal, loving companion you could ever imagine.   Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  She is currently fostered in Nashville, TN and we adopt locally and also transport to the northeastern region/states.
