I’m Emmie Lou, a 40lb, 2 year sweet and gentle girl with a heart as big as my beautiful smile. My coat is as soft and cozy as a warm blanket, with beautiful grey hues that are truly unique. I also have another uniqueness about me....when the camera comes out, if you're not quick, my ears disappear! :) I’m a quick learner when it comes to basic commands, and I’m already a pro at walking on a leash, being kennel trained, and staying potty trained. I get along famously with other dogs and I’m totally cool with kitties too. My gentle nature makes me a perfect fit for families with children of any age. I love the water, long walks, and exploring the great outdoors. Though I have a mellow disposition, I have a playful side too! I spent my early days in a junkyard, so I’ve been dreaming of a loving family to call my own. I can’t wait to become a cherished member of a family...YOUR family! Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We can put you in touch with her foster mom after you put in and get your application approved. We can also set up a meet and greet if you are local in Texas. 11mo old red Kelpie lookin pup. He is crate trained, potty trained, neutered, and fully vaccinated. His adoption fee can be negotiated but covers his shots, surgery, crate, blankets, no pull lead, harness, leash, and puppy food. I call him Roaver :) Sweet boy was abused and starved when I met him. His breeders abandoned him at the park when he was ~3mo old. I'm guessing he was the last of the litter they tried to make money off of. I told them I would take him to the shelter, but turns out he is too fearful of strange people and places to be placed there, so I am sharing my home with him trying to find his next step. He is learning that people are kind too. He loves dog parks and playing chase/ball and loves bones and squeaking toys. He is happy now but I cannot keep him. My apt has a dog # limit (Ive got my own 2) and he cannot live with a cat (Ive got 1). He is running out of time. He is so sweet, plays with my pups/kids, COMPLETELY ADOPTABLE and protects you. I acquired Luna at around 10 months from a co-worker., she is a rescue. Luna is currently about 3 years of age. I gave Luna to a family member when she was a year old, but I recently got her back. She is spayed and has up to date vaccinations. She is very protective of family, shy and cautious around new people. She loves to play with cats and other dogs when she's used to them around. I have taken her to doggy daycare and dog parks before. She has received basic training, but is still working on a few things. I'm looking to rehome her due to financial problems.

This sweet boy was pulled from death row at animal control. He and his sister didn't have much time left. Vinnie has a very kind personality, skittish at first but will warm up when he gets to know you. He is a bit frightened of being touched or held so you just have to work with his terms. He will allow affection, but on his terms and when he is in the mood. We assume he did not receive much affection or care, if at all, but he still is just waiting on his forever home to love. Vinnie does like other dogs, loves toys, seems to be crate trained a bit. Vinnie is a great boy, with so much potential in the right home, he would probably do best in a quiet home without small children and he IS a flight risk, and will need an experience adopter. We hope that you will give him a chance.
