They’re smart, loyal companions who love being part of the family and seem to have a special way of knowing exactly where their humans are and what they’re doing. Della definitely has that loving, people-oriented spirit! We did discover that Della’s vision is very slightly impaired, but don’t tell her that! Della says, “I can see everything I need to see!” 👀💕 She certainly doesn’t let it define her or take away from the wonderful dog she is. At 68 pounds, Della is a big, beautiful girl with plenty of love to give. She’s looking for a family who will appreciate her intelligence, affection, loyalty, and that special Aussie devotion. Welcome Annabelle to CCPAL Rescue. Annabelle is an Aussie mix is our best guess. She looks like he is mixed with something small. She is about 8 pounds now and should be medium sized full grown. We think 25-30 full grown. She is very sweet, has good eye contact and has a soft coat and down ears. Her coat is really soft. She is active and the group is vocal but not over the top. A person that does not work all day every day for 5 days a week is the best for a puppy. Someone that can work from home some or has partial days or some days off to spend to help your new puppy acclimate is best. You need time to be with your puppy to socialize them and to finish off their puppy training. Annabelle was very easy to handle taking his photos and she wasn’t afraid of new people and liked being held. She sat on the table with confidence while we worked with her. She is getting daily attention and handling at the Rescue. She is getting her DHPP vaccinations and deworming. She is good in her play group. She is kenneled in the evening and is learning to go potty on a wee pad. She is currently at the CCPAL Rescue in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Reese came to us as an owner turn. He was a Christmas present to children and shortly after showed up at the ER with a broken leg. When the owners could not afford to fix it they were going to euthanize him. The staff at the clinic couldn't have that and contacted us. Once out of his medical foster home he came to our shelter and now awaits his second chance. He is a very active boy, loves to play with toys, plays fetch and does well with other dogs, he does love his belly rubs and giving kisses. His leg is completely healed and not expected to have any issues in the future. If interested in adopting Reese please email us for an application.
