Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
There were 9 babies born at our shelter. When we took Momma in we did not know she was about to give birth any day, which she did. There were 7 girls and 2 boys, all are healthy and energetic. Trixie is one of the 3 still available for adoption. The breed guess is random because they all looked so different. Trixie loves to play in water, love toys, is very snuggly, and loves getting belly rubs. She knows "sit" and how to give nose boops with lots of kisses. She would make a great companion for someone. If interested in meeting Trixie email us for an application.

Story
Meet Magellan! He had been living on the street for a few months when someone asked if we could take him in. He’s sooooo happy and bouncy! He weighs 51 pounds and is about a year old, still a baby with sparkling white teeth! He is GREAT with the other dogs in the yard and so he is able to run free with the front yard pack. He has a chill disposition and isn’t dominant with the other dogs. Believe it or not, sometimes street dogs can be more well adjusted than a dog that is owner surrendered! He’s probably even good with cats, we can always cat test any dog! Magellan loves to play! He would be a great addition to any home!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Ellie aka Eddy is a really smart gal that requires an experienced /working dog owner. She requires a home with a fenced yard. She does like playing with other dogs, but will do best in a home with dogs that allow her to be the boss (heeler breed in her). She will also do best in a home with no children under 12 years of age. She loves her humans unconditionally esp women. She's house trained and knows a variety of commands (sit, stay, shake, lay, outside and kennel). She is an indoor dog and will benefit from daily exercise and comes with $100 gift certificate at the Palms. Taking online applications

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ms Lulu is quite the character! She is happy and funny and Loves to run and run. When she stops, she stops! She took over the house and yard the first day protecting and keeping all threats away from the fence. She is a snuggler and will sit on the couch and sleep in the big person bed or an open crate. She does prowl and protect through the night. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Lulu is not good with small dogs as her breed likes to keep the "rodents" at bay. I would say no dog under 20lbs - otherwise male or female dogs are fine. No idea about cats. She is a cattle dog and seems as if she may have been trained to herd beyond what comes natural? She ignored the chickens and goat. Cattle and horses would be safe as well. She is an active working dog who would love an active lifestyle if you can provide it. She loves the water too. She will herd children by nipping on their heels so maybe a bit older children who understand that's just what her breed does and won't cry. She does pretty well on a leash, rides in the car like a pro, loves puppies because she was a mom a time or two. Her tongue hangs out and her jaw is a bit off (maybe birth defect or an injury) but it does not affect her appetite! She is spayed, HW negative and up to date on shots. please apply at www.krrtx.org/forms

Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This special girl was rescued out of a greenbelt ditch with her sisters. Feral and scared to death, they were eventually caught and brought to us. Both girls would not let us touch them for the first few weeks, then progress began. Not 100% trusting of humans so a special home is needed; experienced with feral dogs, quiet, no kids, not alot of visitors or sudden changes. Reyna needs to trust her person and not be expected to be perfect. She is a flight risk. New things, new noises and people make her a uneasy. She gives great hugs and kisses to our staff but that is after 5 years of rehab. She walks well on a leash, loves other dogs, loves toys and blankets, and would love to be in a home to keep her safe. If you have the patience and love, in a non-changing environment for Reyna needs give us a call for more details.

Not trusting of humans she needs a special home; experienced with feral dogs, quiet, no kids, not alot of visitors or sudden changes. She needs to trust her person and not be expected to be perfect, affectionate or play. She walks well on a leash, loves other dogs, loves toys, and would love to be just be a dog. If you have the patience and love Issa needs give us a call, she may never be that snuggly, go-fetch girl but she is very goofy in her own way.
