Story
Born 12/15/22 Briggs is female Australian Kelpie mix. She loves attention, cuddles and finding furniture and deck rails to walk on! She absolutely loves playing with her canine foster siblings and is very curious about cats, so could do well with a dog savvy cat. She has been wonderful with children but can be a little mouthy as is typical of young learning the ropes. She is potty trained and although she is not a huge fan of the crate, she'll go in and rest with the right bribe 😉 Briggs has enjoyed car rides and any adventure they lead to. She's an all-around great dog who will be a very loyal companion. She will require a securely fenced yard and if there are kids in the home, over the age of 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Born October 30, 2022 Red Rover is a young red heeler with neurological issues. Our vet suspects a mild form of Cerebellar Hypoplasia. Cerebellar hypoplasia is a neurological condition in which the cerebellum—the part of the brain that coordinates movement—is smaller than usual or not completely developed. For Red Rover, this looks like small steps when walking, a lack of confidence when moving, and he absolutely HATES being picked up. Red Rover will need another confident, friendly dog in his forever home to boost his confidence and show him the ropes in life. He currently lives with dogs of all sizes and cats. Red prefers the company of other dogs to his human family members, but he is a friendly little guy. Despite the extra pep in his step, Red is a smart boy who learns routines quickly. He is not your typical, active heeler and would not succeed as a working dog. He loves to chew on bones (or anything he can get his little teeth around), wrestle with his dog friends, and lay around the house. If you are looking to open your home to a special needs dog, Red Rover may just be your guy. If you have another friendly, confident dog, a fenced yard, and older children who can respect Red’s special needs, submit an adoption application at www.mikeyschance.com.

Story
Born December 25th 2022, Banjo is a male heeler mix. Banjo is typical puppy - sweet, active and loves playing with other dogs. He's learned sit, leave it, and go potty and is almost fully potty and crate trained. Banjo will do best in an active home with other dogs to play with. He is a little bit shy at first, but once he feels safe he's all smiles and sweetness! True to his breed and thrives on constant mental and physical stimulation. Dog savvy cats will be fine as he does like to chase-it’s all in fun and he means no harm. A securely fenced yard is a must, and if there are children in the home, over the age of 5. Story
Cadence and her three siblings were found abandoned, left in a box out in the cold. After being examined by the vet their age was identified as 7-8 weeks old, born October 2023. We do not know her breed(s) but based on the attached weight projection chart we believe she will be a medium sized dog (35-40ish pounds) when fully grown. See photo on the scales-these were taken upon entry to the rescue. Cadence was the largest puppy in the litter. Cadence is very treat motivated and eager to learn. She knows wait, sit, down, place, high-five, spin and is working on sit up. She is crate trained-and will go in when instructed to do so and fully potty trained. Cadence is confident, playful, sensitive and cuddly. She is currently living with dogs and cats. She would do great in a home with a fenced yard and a person or family that is committed to her continued growth and development and will cherish her for her lifetime. A canine companion would be great too. To apply: www.mikeyschance.com/adopt-a-dog
