Meet Lewis! 🐾
At 4 months old and 18 pounds, Lewis is a handsome Aussie mix with a gentle soul and an adventurous spirit.
Lewis didn't have the easiest start to life. Having been raised in the woods with very little human interaction, the world of people is still something he's learning to trust. Because of that, he's looking for a patient family willing to let him blossom at his own pace.
While he may be shy at first, every day Lewis grows a little braver. Once he feels safe, he'll happily accept gentle pets and even surprise you with the occasional snuggle. Watching his confidence grow is incredibly rewarding.
When Lewis was rescued, he was suffering from mange, so he arrived with very little hair. Thanks to good nutrition, proper medical care, and lots of love, his coat is growing in more every single day. We can't wait to see what he looks like once his fur comes all the way in—he may end up with absolutely luscious locks!
Lewis has already learned to use the dog door and is making great progress with potty training. He's also working hard on his crate and leash training. Like any puppy, he'll thrive with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement.
One thing Lewis is sure about? He loves other dogs! He gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and would do best in a home with a confident canine companion who can help show him that people aren't so scary. A securely fenced yard is also a must, as his curious nature could easily lead him on an unexpected adventure if given the chance.
Lewis may not be the puppy who runs into your arms on day one, but for the family willing to earn his trust, he'll become a loyal, loving companion. Sometimes the most rewarding relationships are the ones that take a little time to build. ❤️

All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing and treatment if necessary, current flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipping prior to adoption.
