Story
Sadie belonged to my brother. She was a puppy when he got her, less than 12 weeks old. My brother died unexpectedly a week after getting her. Me and my family took her home and has had her for a year. She is a sweet dog, but she is not great with our young kids. She tends to herd them. Also, my wife developed a serious allergy to her because of her long hair. She will come with two crates and papers. She is full bred miniature Australian shepherd.

Story
Wolfie is a special needs doggo with lots of personality! He has been diagnosed with Hydrocephaly and Cerebellar Hypoplasia. These things mean that he has many differences in his brain that then affect his behavior and ability to process stimuli. He is only on one type of medication that is not particularly expensive but he must have it at prescribed intervals to help him cope with his environment and not become agitated. He is playful, affectionate, and intelligent and these traits show when he is managed well. He is not and never will be fully housebroken but a stay at home parent can help him be his best at this. He does well with other dogs when introduced properly and he will still need downtime from them. We do not know how he is with cats. He is not a good candidate to live with children because of his excitable nature- he gets very mouthy when agitated. If you think you might be a good caretaker for Wolfie please give us a call to inquire about him!October 5, 2023, 12:21 am

Story
Dex is a handsome floof with a world-class head tilt and spectacular smile! He loves his outdoor romps and likes to chase toys. Bring them back? Not so much - but he's learning. Dex likes to have a person around more often then not, making him a perfect work-from-home friend. He prefers his dog friends be of the 'hanging out together' variety, not the 'in your face' variety. ~  Est DOB:  Feb 2021 ~  Intake weight:  38#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlApril 22, 2024, 10:15 am

Story
Hi my name is Brodie aka Jasper, but my foster family often calls me “Bro” since I’m so cool 😎. I’m looking for my furever family -- could it be you? I am a healthy 40lb guy, about 2-3 years old. I am very curious and intelligent - you need to keep me busy with tricks and treats! Then l’ll be ready to calm down and chill on the floor or even on the couch if you’ll let me! My foster mom thinks I’ll make a great running partner - I don’t pull ahead and only need some minimal training on ignoring those funny looking squirrels. I currently live with two grown dogs and 2 cats: the cats don’t love my antics, but they’re beginning to tolerate me. Everyone that pets me says how soft my fur is - they think it’s silky like hair! And of course, who can resist my freckles? I need a home with a fenced yard so I can have lots of room to run! If you’re interested in adopting me, go to our website www.heartsnhomesrescue.org and fill out an application! I can’t wait to meet you!#adoptdontshop

Story
We love our Theo. He is a great dog and truly loves his family. We got him February of 2020, so he has some seperation anxiety considering we were with him almost everyday of his puppy months. He is a hearding dog and truly wants to heard. He started trying to heard people once we had our first baby. He has gotten professional training where he was gone for a month and a half. He is trained on a collar/remote system. He is very protective of our household and my kids, but he doesnt like anybody in our yard. We had an incident where he ran up to my husbands grandfather and scared him, so we are having to rehome. He would do great on a big farm with lots of area to run and heard. We use our trainer to board him and she has a lifetime policy where she will help with any training and we board him with her. He is prescribed anxiety medication for scenarios that may make him anxious. He is really a great dog, and we never thought we'd rehome, but for our living situation it is best!
