Story
Hi, my name is Buddy and that's all I want to be, your buddy! I don't know my exact breed right now but I know I'm a big good boy! I love going on walks with you, watching TV with you, playing fetch with you, snuggling with you and generally just wanting to be near you. I like all the attention and have a little trouble with smaller animals. I can be taught very easily because I'm very, very smart! I just need the attention and alpha attitude it takes, I also really love treats and listen very well if you have one. I really need a good home with lots of love to give me because I have all the love to give you!

Story
Meet Viola! This beautiful Australian Shepherd is estimated to be 1-1.5 years old & 56 lbs. She is a sweet girl, but a little shy. We believe with a little love & patience she will flourish into a wonderful companion for an active family. She is ok with other dogs, we are unsure how she would do with cats & kids. Also unknown is if she's housetrained. *All animals are fixed, vaccinated & microchipped prior to adoption. We do have an application process to adopt to ensure it's the right fit for the pet and the potential family, along with meet & greets with any residential dogs. We also welcome 501c3 rescues to pull, please contact us for more information. PLEASE email barstowshelterinfo@gmail.com for an application or if you have any questions. Story
Handsome lad Hunter, an Australian Kelpie, is about 4 years old and 40-45 lbs.  He was rescued with many others from a breeding kennel. He is still a bit shy with people, but he's had a lot of training here and has improved a lot. He likes kiddie pools. He has an overall nice disposition- he's one of the few kennel dogs that doesn't bark when people go by. He has made human and canine friendships and is ready for adoption into his own forever home now. Hunter is great with all dogs. Hunter's best friends are Dobie and Dougie, who are also available for adoption. He was part of a group of around 10 dogs that came to us from the Lucerne Valley kennels in 2021. They were rescued by Brandon McMillan and one of our staff after the kennel owner died. All the others except him and Sam have been adopted, and they've been doing well in their homes. Email an application (see beaglesandbuddies.com) to find the application forms and see all the other dogs here.*Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. &#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED &#226&#128&#139 Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Please email us for an appointment and include your application (found on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under "Forms"). Most appointments will be Friday through Sunday, though other days may also be available. We usually schedule one appointment per hour. Allow 1-2 hours for your appointment.
