🚨 REX NEEDS A HERO — PLEASE READ & SHARE 🚨 Rex is alive today by pure luck. For days, this sweet boy wandered in the middle of the road on Sample–Pittman Hill in Clovis… cars flying past him, coming within inches of his life. Over and over again, he returned to the same spot — confused, waiting… for someone who never came back. No food. No water. No one looking for him. We believe Rex was dumped. And somehow, despite everything, he is still one of the kindest, gentlest dogs you could ever meet. ❤️ Rex is about 4–5 years old, an Aussie-Husky mix, around 65 lbs. He knows commands like sit, stay, shake, and down. He takes treats gently, appears housebroken, and has a calm, loving demeanor. He gets along with other dogs with proper introductions, but no cats please. This boy deserved so much better than what he got. But we can still change his story. Rex is now safe. He will be fully vetted — vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. What he needs now… is someone to choose him. A home. A family. A second chance. 🐾 Very small rehoming fee to the right match. Hello everyone this is Manchas, it means spots in Spanish lol. As of today he is around 2 years old and he is a very playful and loving dog. My family and I wanted to help our friends in finding a home for him and his siblings so we took him in hoping he could adjust to our suburban home since he was born in a ranch home with lots of freedom. Unfortunately, he wants and needs lots of attention that we can’t give him because of how busy my family and I are so we decided to give him up hopefully to a nice family or person that is willing to love him in the way we aren’t able to.

03/02/26 Nisqually x Iroquois no mc no collar. EM 3/21/26 - Adoption return due to this dog not getting along with their other dog at home. Has been friendly with people. LM ***** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NOW***** Spayed female ~3 yrs old 57 pounds Vaccines given 3-4-26 Has microchip ALT ID# 3-21-26 2 3/7/26 Very nervous, needs serious handler to train and have time to desensitize, walks on leash, can be handled when moving slowly Can jump/climb out of our kennels. 4/1/26 - pet can be nervous with new people but warms up quickly with slow and calm movement. Dog can be pet head to tail, our younger volunteers can walk this pet with no issues. She greets other dogs she passes with loose body language. Returned from adopter for not getting along with dog in the home with no further notes on what happened. *****Animals are eligible for adoption by the public after their stray hold period. Rescues are permitted to pull on 3/10/26; animal is also legally available for euthanasia on this same date. AVAS will continue to follow the protocols in place for the health/safety of the animals in our care. The canine population currently in our care that are not showing symptoms will be posted on our website for public viewing. Canines will continue to be monitored by our medical staff under the direction of our supervising Veterinarian.
