He went into a foster home and started exhibiting some less than desirable behaviors such as:- nipping and herding the children- crate aggression and reactivity- destructive behaviors in the home- biting the fosterUnfortunately once this happens the choices are rescue or euthanasia. We stepped in to help.Chase IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME but we are putting his story into the universe in the hopes that when he is ready, his perfect adopter finds him.Since arriving we have made progress with the crate- he now willingly enters it whereas before he had to be physically put into it with a leash. His issue is not as much the crate as it is with the door closing.We are working with him on his house manners- as of this post (12/16/25) he has literally none.He is a horrible leash puller and jumper as well.On a positive note, he LOVES people!! He LOVES children! He loves other dogs, he does great off leash with horses and cats and he is insanely food motivated. This is a dog that wants a job and wants to work 100%. Story
Sam is a 17 month old, neutered Blue Merle Bull Aussie mix. Sam is affectionate, comical, and loves to "talk." He will do best with experienced owners who are skilled in handling strong, intelligent dogs---in the adolescent stage. Sam needs daily work or "entertaining" activities to satisfy his mind & energy levels. Although Sam is wary of strangers, he will warm up faster with time and encouragement. He is good with other dogs. Since he is little high-strung/clumsy, I don't recommend him around elderly/weak persons, young children or small animals without close supervision. Sam knows some basic and advanced commands. He's potty-trained as long as you monitor his intake and keep him on schedule. Sam is microchipped and crate-trained. He is used to indoor/outdoor housing. His adoption fee includes the care that I have put into him and to insure he goes to a great home. Serious inquiries only.
