Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Dino, a high-energy, wiggly, and eager-to-please Australian Shepherd mix with a sleek black coat. At just over a year old and weighing 50 lbs, he's always ready for fun and affection. His whole body wiggles with excitement, right down to his little nub tail, and he absolutely loves flopping over for belly rubs. He knows how to sit and will go into his crate for a treat. Being food-motivated, he’s eager to learn more commands. Housetrained, he does well with both a fenced yard and leash walks. While he doesn’t love the crate, he settles in and sleeps when needed. Dino enjoys playing fetch, running with other dogs, and getting as much attention and petting as possible. He prefers not to be left alone but simply expresses this by barking. He has a big, loud bark and he does like to talk at times. He also has a happy voice when he's excited and getting belly rubs. Dino gets along well with other dogs, is polite to cats, and has been reported to do well with kids. He takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, but quickly becomes a lovebug. On leash, he’s still learning manners but enjoys his walks. He rides fine in the car but may need a little help getting in. Dino would thrive in an active home where he gets plenty of exercise and, ideally, has a dog friend to play with. Interested in bringing Dino into your heart and home? Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. April 5, 2025, 10:14 pm

Story
We adopted Opie as a puppy. He's a 7-year-old licking, energetic giant lover of a dog but due to our son who has health needs, Opie needs a new home. A place where he can get lots of attention, go on lots and lots of walks, and have access to a creek. Even though he hates swimming, he loves running through water. He is a fierce protector of his family and loves all the attention but though he is a good kids he is completely unaware of his giant stature. He will knock down tiny humans especially when he gets excited but he does not do it on purpose. Older children who can keep up with his energy and dont mind him trying to be a lap dog will be a more appropriate option for any new home with children. He will spend hours playing catch and knows that the only way to get the ball thrown again is if he places it back in your hand. Opie or Op will offer up as many kisses as you are willing to take and make sure that you never forget he loves you.
