Welcome to this beautiful young 4 year old Red-tri Aussie, Bridgette!  She came to our rescue from a puppy mill at the end of May.  She was scared, afraid of human touch, raised voices or loud noise.  She would tremble at the lightest touch.  After a few weeks of decompressing she slowly started coming out of her shell allowing her sweet personality to show.  Today she seeks out pets and head scratches and greets us with her little Aussie wiggle butt.  She shares her home with 3 other dogs interacting with them without any issues.  Bridgette would do best with another confident, welcoming dog to help her continue to gain confidence.  She requires a securely fenced yard. Bridgette will not tolerate a crate and has free run of our home with no issues.  She will tolerate a leash walk her as long as there is no tension but does not handle street noise, quiet walks in a park type setting would be best.  She loves, loves, loves to be  near you, but not on you.   The best way I can describe her is she is a gentle soul. She is mastering potty training.  The ideal home would be no young children since they would make her nervous with quick movements and loud noises.  She has not mastered the art of jumping up into a car so she needs a slight boost to get in, she isn't a big fan of car rides.  If you would like to have Bridgette join your family , please fill out an adoption application.  Her $475 adoption fee covers medical care up to adoption to include vaccines, spay, microchip, foster care and transportation from Ohio to NY. ##2743013##

Meet Mocha, this stunning 1 y/o Red Tri-colored Australian Shepherd. Mocha is a very sweet girl who is looking for a loving forever home. She can be a little shy at first and doesn’t particularly enjoy being approached by new people right away, but once she feels comfortable, she’ll come to you on her own and happily snuggle up for affection.  She’s currently working on crate training and is doing wonderfully. Mocha has spent up to eight hours in her crate without any accidents. She may whine a little when first settling in, but she quickly relaxes and does very well.  Mocha loves chewing on bones and is always excited for her favorite treats. She’s a gentle, affectionate dog who just needs a little patience and understanding while she builds confidence.  At this time, Mocha is now enjoying walking on a leash and would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely exercise and explore at her own pace.  She would likely do well as an only dog where she can soak up all the attention, but she could also be a good fit with one other calm, compatible dog.  If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a sweet personality, Mocha may be the perfect match for you!  If you would like to have Mocha join your family please fill out an adoption application.  Her adoption fee covers vaccines, spay, microchip, foster care and transportation from Ohio to NY.   ##2743010##

Story
This is Bandit. He’s a 5 year old “mini” Australian Shepherd. He’s 28-30lbs.I rescued him at under 8 weeks old.He’s a great boy. However, he is very protective over me/my house and tends to not like men anytime they come over so I have to block him off for a while until he calms down.I’ve recently started my own business and have become a lot busier. I feel like I’m not able to provide him with the proper environment or time for his needs. I truly believe he’d be best in a home with Aussie experience or a home with a farm where he can release energy frequently, and have a job. I don’t “NEED” to rehome him but I am considering it for his best interest and for him to live a more fulfilling life.He is insanely smart, knows quite a few tricks (and learns them quick!)He plays well with dogs and cats. He may need work on a leash at parks / public walks when other dogs are around. Sometimes he’s he is fine other times he gets very anxious.
