Story
Meet Tocho – Your Next Loyal Adventure Buddy! Looking for a smart, active dog with a big heart and an even bigger brain? Meet Tocho – a handsome, mature boy with charm, wit, and a love for toys that rivals his love for people! Tocho is incredibly intelligent and already knows a whole toolkit of tricks including Sit, Wait, Shake, and Down. He’s also a fetch expert — not only will he chase the ball with enthusiasm, but he’ll drop it neatly at your feet so you never lose track of it. He walks well on leash and enjoys being active, but he’s just as happy settling in with a favorite toy on a cozy bed. One of his quirkiest and cutest habits? He’s so devoted to his toys that he’ll rinse them off in his pool to keep them clean! Tocho has done well with most respectful dogs and may enjoy having a calm, well-matched canine companion. He has been exposed to livestock in the past. His loyalty runs deep — once you earn his trust, it’s yours for life. ‍ He’s the kind of dog who will respect your boundaries if you respect his — mutual trust is key to a strong bond with him. Tocho does well in most fencing and loves having elevated surfaces to climb or jump on ‍♂️, so a yard with interesting terrain or structures would be ideal. True to his active nature, he may prefer living primarily outdoors with access to indoor time and companionship. He thrives with purpose, space, and enrichment. To help him thrive, Tocho will need a dog-savvy, adult-only home  that understands the needs of an intelligent, energetic dog. With structure, patience, and understanding, he’ll be an incredibly rewarding companion. If you’re ready to meet a smart, loyal, and adventurous dog who will be by your side through thick and thin, call the Ranch to meet Tocho today! While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Story
Meet Cocoa – A Tender Heart Waiting for Her Turn to Shine Cocoa is a soft, sensitive soul who’s only just beginning to discover that the world can be kind. After arriving at the Ranch as a devoted mama, she lovingly raised her puppies and watched each of them find a family of their own. Now it’s her time. Cocoa deserves the same love, safety, and devotion she gave so freely to her little ones. This sweet girl is still learning to trust humans, but every day she shows us a little more of the beautiful dog she’s becoming. She needs a calm, patient home—someone who understands that love doesn’t always appear in a rush… sometimes it grows quietly, steadily, and beautifully. With gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement, Cocoa is making genuine progress, especially with her leash skills. Give her a kind word or a soft pat, and she’ll try her very best for you. Cocoa also truly shines around other dogs. A confident canine companion would not only suit her well, but help her continue to blossom. She relaxes more easily, learns faster, and feels safer when she has a dog friend by her side—someone who can show her what trust, play, and comfort look like. Cocoa may not bound into your lap or greet you with wagging enthusiasm on day one, but that’s what makes her journey so special. She’s the kind of dog who forms deep, meaningful bonds—the kind built slowly, with respect and love. And once she trusts you, that trust is unwavering. Cocoa is ready for someone with a big heart and a gentle hand. Someone who sees her quiet bravery. Someone who understands that the most rewarding relationships are often the ones we take the time to nurture. If you’re willing to offer patience, compassion, and a safe haven, Cocoa may be the perfect addition to your family—and the transformation you’ll witness will be nothing short of beautiful. Call the Ranch today to meet Cocoa. You might be the person she’s been waiting for all along. Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. Story
Meet Vitani!  If you're looking for the perfect family dog, then look no further than our sweet momma, Vitani. She's incredibly gentle, even tempered, and social! Having been paired with lots of different types of dogs here at the shelter, Vitani would likely do well in a multi dog home. She tends to prefer respectful dogs over rambunctious and pushy ones but she's very adaptable!  Vitani also knows some of her basics such as good leash manners, 'Sit', and sometimes 'Down' (she's still mastering that one). She is a smart girl though and willing to do whatever she can to make her people happy. Vitani also knows how to respect her fence boundaries and does well in as low as 4 foot fencing. Could she be the perfect addition to your family? Call the Ranch to learn more about her today!   Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. Meet Scout: The Big, Vocal, and Playful Teddy Bear! Hello there! My name is Scout, and I’m a large-and-in-charge male dog with a personality as big as my heart. If you’re looking for a best friend to join you on adventures, bring you toys, and have a good chat with you, I’m your guy! What You Should Know About Me: People-Friendly:  I absolutely love adult people! I’m highly social, very affectionate, and have never met a stranger I didn’t want to be friends with. Vocal & Playful:  I am not a quiet guy—I will let you know I’m excited to see you with adorable vocalizations! I love toys and am a big, playful goofball. Dog-Savvy:  I have done great with, and coexisted well with, two neutral female dogs during playtime. I might do well with another dog in the household, provided it's a good match! Smart & Trained:  I already know my basic commands and am ready to show off how good I can be. Leash Manners in Progress:  I am strong and enthusiastic, so I am still working on my leash manners. I’m looking for a confident, dog-savvy handler who can continue my training and show me the ropes. My Ideal Home: I would be an incredible addition to an active, adult-only home. I'd love a family that has the patience to work with me on my leash walking and who will appreciate my vocal, loving nature. If you are looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who is ready to shower you with affection, please come meet me today! Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog.
