Story
Sunshine was born around November 11, 2019. Her and her 7 other siblings were found by the border of Mexico by border patrol where her mother got scared and apparently ran away. She was then fostered in a home, got spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. I adopted her when she was 4 months old. She has been an amazing, loving, caring dog to me. However, when I had my child, she wanted more attention from me understandably. Unfortunately I can’t give her the time she deserves, she prefers to stay away from my kid so being in adult only home would be best. She takes time to warm up to you but when she does, she’s your best friend. She needs someone to be active with her since that is her breed. Her friendliness to dogs is dependent on the other dog. She is a dominant female therefore prefers dogs who are submissive(if you have another pet). She unfortunately barks at people even though we tried training her when we had time. I love her so so much but she deserves a loving home.

Sakari is seeking a home that knows the breed and will continue working to make her a good canine citizen. She is crate and potty trained. She walk well on leash, she is not a fan of the car and does experience car sickness. She can sometimes growl when meeting new people and will be leery of them coming close without giving her some time to warm up. She is NOT good with children and will nip and herd them.

Story
...Fern was found as a stray and picked up by Animal Control on West Ruby Street in Pasco. This growing girl currently weighs about 20 pounds and is still getting bigger! Fern is currently awaiting her spay appointment and is available for meet and greets.Fern is still very much a puppy, with plenty of growing, learning, and maturing ahead of her. As an Australian Shepherd mix, she is an intelligent, active breed mix who will benefit from a family ready to provide her with continued training, structure, and plenty of opportunities to use both her body and her brain.Fern also has a strong prey drive, so a home with chickens or other small animals would not be the right fit for her. Her future family should be prepared to manage her appropriately around smaller animals and understand that her instincts are an important part of who she is.Since Fern was found as a stray, her history with other dogs and cats is unknown. Meet and greets are required with any dogs currently in the home prior to adoption. Slow and proper introductions are always recommended when bringing a new pet into the home.Fern`s adoption fee is $50. She will go home spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. Our shelter operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Holds, deposits, and pre-adoptions are not allowed, and as a stray-intake animal control facility, animals may transfer to other shelters or rescues at any time.Fern is still growing into the dog she`s going to become, and the right family will have the opportunity to help her become her very best self. Come meet her today!

Story
Spazz is spazztastic! He earned his name early on based on him in general being a spazz. He's 26lbs, neutered, vaccinated, parasite free, is chipped. Spazz sticks close to his people and could possibly train up to walk with you off leash. He's very oriented to his person, is great with all people and most dogs. Today he met LD and did great. He's experienced many puppies and does well teaching them how to behave and shows boundaries appropriately. Playtime has been toys, chasing his brother pack members and on occasion he gets to rough house with a little bully that's 3x his weight. Spazz will cuddle and sleep touching you and up behind your shoulder and head but sometimes he's asleep on my body when I wake up. This little dynamo would excel at agility or other skill-based activities. He's very smart and easily learns new things. Spazz lives peacefully with 2 large dogs and a chihuahua and LD. He's crate trained and doesn't mind chewing a raw beef bone in a crate or sleeping for a couple hours. He LOVES running and playing with toys when Lucky gets fired up. He chases reflected light, shadows, lasers, crystal prisms. Watch out for sunshine reflecting off your cell phone lol. Spazz definitely will let you know if someone is outside your home. He's not had a lot of cat experience and had one cornered but didn't hurt the cat. He barked, circled and will try to get them under the shed. I believe he could learn to get along with cats with proper instruction and experiences. Mr. Spazz could become a companion or potential support pet with training because he's so tuned into people. Spazz is located in West Richland, Washington. He can't drive so you will need to make a trip here to meet him and he's very much worth it. His adoption fee is $400. https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/owner-surrender/HAWA-A-71 is his application link. You can also email HearthfireART@gmail.com for a written application. Spazz is also available to foster or even time share if you travel often he's always got a place to go.
