Denny boy was brought into our rescue after being shot three times, and Found along a road in Irvona PA. he was found with another dog that was shot and was deceased on scene. we found the owner of the dog which was Amish and the dog was surrendered to Animals Matter and hospitalized at Metzger animal Hospital due to being in shock Shot three times and having the right leg amputated ##2032721##

Yoshi is very leary of men, he needs several introductions to new men in his life to know he can trust them. Most women he meets he makes up with after a short time, some he likes immediately. He was treated roughly by a small child and father. He will not be adopted out to a family with children as that would not be fair to the children or Yoshi. Active and likes to play. Very smart. Loves attention from those that he trusts. He gets along with all of us here at Orphans even the men, but he needed time to get to know you. This handsome young man is Cookie. He is full of spunk, energy, and loves to soak up all the attention in the room. He may be a little shy at first but with time, patience and most importantly treats, he comes right around. He has so much potential waiting to be unlocked. He is very food motivated and has already picked up on sit for his treats. He is a bit wiggly for his baths and walks well on the leash. If your looking for your next hiking buddy to take on your outdoor adventures look no further! We think Cookie would do best in an active home that has experience with his breed or ones like his. We also think he would do best with older children and possibly another doggie friend. Koda has had quite the journey with us. He came to us with an old fracture to his front right paw. We started him on pain medication right away. Over the next several weeks, his demeanor changed from aggressive to playful and affectionate. He was neutered, and his front right leg amputated to ease his discomfort for the future. He recovered amazingly well, like he doesn't even notice something is missing! Koda doesn't love other dogs walking by his kennel, but he is fine with them in a larger fenced area. We would do a meet and greet prior to adoption if you have another dog. Koda is approximately two years old, and would be ever so grateful for a loving family to call his own! ##1798942##
